I didn't like how Intent ended, and neither did other Rollisi shippers.

So I decided to write my own version AU of what happened after West Virginia. I'm still writing this at the moment, and it will be a 12 chapter story.

Past and new chapters will appear in this story.

I am a Carisi fan, and since the writers hasn't given us a full description of his past, I came up with an interesting idea.

Until then, enjoy this chapter!

Chapter 1 - Healing

It was November 23, and it was already 9:28 PM, and most of everyone in the squad room had went home for the night, except for a couple of officers putting in for overtime.

Except for Carisi, who was almost done scanning a digital footprint on Heather Parcell.

"That should do it." He said as he saved the rest of the documents and closed his laptop. He stood up and put on his jacket and started walking towards the elevator.

As the elevator was going down, Carisi started to think back to what Rollins said to him earlier.

Flashback

"You know I'm human, right? And human people have sex.

Sometimes with people they love, sometimes with people they don't even know.

And sometimes with people who are pains in the ass."

Flashback Ends

Carisi sighed as he leaned back and shook his head.

He's been crushing on Rollins since they first met. He knew there was something going on between her and Nick, so he stayed away. Once Nick left, he was happy, but thought it was best to give her some space first before doing anything. When he found out she was pregnant, he was glad when she told him it wasn't Nick. But was curious who was the father, but thought it was best to leave that alone and to just be there for her. He helped her raise and take care of Jesse before and after she was born.

He found out who was Jesse's father, after hearing her talking on the phone with the father in the break room, Declan. He called to tell her that he had fallen in love with another woman in Serbia, she was pregnant with his child and that he was going to marry her. He also signed the papers to give up his paternity rights, so Jesse would be adopted if Rollins planned to get married one day.

After everything that had happen since he first met her, Carisi thought that he finally had a chance now with Rollins. With all the time they've spent together, at work, outside of work; that she liked him too.

He finally decided to make his first move in West Virginia, since they weren't in New York with everyone else. He tired to kiss her, but she turned him down and hooked up with the bartender.

He was heartbroken.

Out of all the women he had a crush on, or dated in his life,

Rollins' hook up hurted him the most.

On the way back to New York, his jealously and anger showed when he blew her off each time she talked to him.

Then she finally confronted him in the squad room to tell him that she didn't do anything wrong and that she could do anything she want. She then called him an ass and walked away.

"What did she mean by that?" He started to think as he walked out of the elevator.

Carisi parked his car at an luxury apartment complex. He walked inside and headed towards the elevator, pressed the button to the 4th floor. Once the doors opened, he walked out and made his way down the hallway, and stopped at the last room.

He knocked on the door and waited a couple of seconds till it opened, revealing a beautiful dark long haired burnette woman, wearing a tight black sweater, and blue jeans that showed her well fit body figure perfectly.

It was Arielle Hendrickson. A reporter for the New York Ledger.

His ex-girlfriend.

"Dominick." She widen her eyes seeing her ex after a month. "What brings you here?"

"Can I come in? I need some advice." He scratched the back of his neck.

Seeing the way he was acting, she could tell something was wrong.

"Sure come in." She nodded moving aside letting him in.

She closed the door and they walked towards her living room and sat on the couch.

Carisi sighed as he leaned his elbows on his thighs and held his hands together.

"Dominick, what's wong? You can tell me." Arielle looked at him with a sincere look.

Carisi turned his head left towards her and they made eye contact.

"If a person said, "You know I'm human, right? And human people have sex. Sometimes with people they love, sometimes with people they don't even know. And sometimes with people who are pains in the ass.", what do you think they mean by that?"

Arielle was quiet for a moment before opening her mouth.

"To me, it sounds like a person not caring what other people thinks about them. And they can sleep with whoever they want, which is true. I'm sure you know this cause you're an SVU Detective. A person can say no whenever they want when it comes to anything. A person owns their sexuality. They can have sex whoever they want."

Carisi nodded. "That's what I thought." He still had a sad look on his face.

"Are you gonna tell me what happen, or do I have to guess, Dominick?" She leaned her elbow against the back of the couch as a head rest.

"Huh?" He asked in a confused tone.

"I'm no detective, but the way you're acting and the way you look, some woman told you this. Isn't that right?" She raised an amused eyebrow.

He sighed again as he leaned back and ran his hand up his face.

Arielle closed her eyes, nodded, and had a small smile on her face. "Come on, what happened? Tell me." She playfully nudge her foot against his rib cage.

He placed his left arm on the back of the couch as he shift his postion to look at her. "Okay, but I'm not gonna tell you who she is, or where this was."

"Afraid I might write an article about this?" She raised an eyebrow, obviously referring to their break up.

"How many times to I have to say, 'I'm sorry'? I didn't know the family was the one who told you guys and that it wasn't me." He motioned with is hands. "If the roles were reversed, would you have thought the same?"

Arielle looked up for a moment, then sighed in defeat. "Yes, you're right. If I was the cop, and you were the reporter, I would have done the samething."

"See." He nodded.

"Anyway," She waved if off with her left hand "you were telling me your story." She rolled her hand in a circle for him to continue.

"Basically, I went to a bar with a woman who I've been crushing on for a couple of years, and don't give me that look, Arielle." He pointed at her when she raised an eyebrow. "I went out with you cause I was started to have feelings for you, anway.." He waved it off as he continued.

"We talked, things happened, and I took her back to her place. We talked at her front door, it was a good conversation, we look at each other, and when I leaned in and tried to kiss her, she backed off." He shook his head. "It was a little arkward after that, we said good night and I left." A sad look then appeared on his face, that caught her attention.

"And then?" She asked

"The next morning, I went to see her, and when I was near her place, I saw the bartender from the bar coming out from her place and they were talking, then they said their goodbyes. She didn't see me when she went back inside, and I left not wanting to see her." He said softly.

"Oh Dominick." Arielle said softly as she leaned forward towards him and rubbed his shoulder for comfort. She could tell from the look on his face, that he was still hurting. "I'm so sorry that happened."

"Yeah. It happened last night."

"And she told you those words today?"

"The way I was acting and what I said, made her realize that I found out about her hook up. She called me an ass for acting jealous."

"human people have sex. Sometimes with people they love, sometimes with people they don't even know. And sometimes with people who are pains in the ass.". So that's why she called you an ass." She nodded.

"She said that last sentence directed at me cause she paused and smiled right at him when she said it."

Arielle nodded. "That either means two things."

"Which is?" He looked at her.

"One, she wouldn't mind sleeping with you. To make you feel better, cause you didn't get laid last night. Or, two, there are women out there that could sleep with you, just not her."

"Well that makes me feel better." He scoffed.

"Look Dominick, if she's that blind to see the type of guy you really are, then she's just some stupid bitch. I've had my fair share of hook ups with people I know and don't know, so I'm not calling her a slut. But, I've also met and seen a bunch of guys who are either jerks or idoits. But not you, Dominick." She held his face in her hands, forcing him to look right at her.

"You're a great detective, cop, lawyer, and friend. You can cook, clean, and willing to put other people's feelings before yours. You're handsome, cool, intelligent, caring, thoughtful, talented, brave, and the sweetest guy I've ever met. You care about your friends and family more than yourself. You're not selfish. You grew up being picked on by bullies, been abused by others, was kidnapped as a child and still grew up to be a great man. Any woman would be lucky to have you. You're every woman's dreamboat."

Arielle didn't realize how close she was to Carisi's face, and how close their lips were.

Carisi's cologne smelled real good, and she looked deep into the sliver blue color of his eyes. It was very, alluring.

"And. a good kisser." She whispered as she closed the gap between their lips.

She kissed him hard, realizing how long it has been since they last kissed. Carisi kissed her back as he place his arms around her back, pulling her closer towards him. Arielle's hands went down his face and wrapped around his neck. The kiss becomes passionate as she puts her tongue in his mouth, fighting for dominance. He then starts to kiss down her neck, smelling the sweet lavander smell. She starts to moan as she runs her hand down his face towards his chest. She pulls off his jacket to feel his lean body against the thin fabric of his black henley.

"I thought we broke up." Carisi gasped as he parted his lips from her neck.

"You're still hurting. She hurted you. Let me heal you, Dominick. It can be a one time thing." She whispered across his face as she planted soft kisses all over his face.

Carisi's mind was full of lust at the touches and kisses Arielle was giving him, but at the same time, he couldn't forget his feelings towards Rollins.

"You know I'm human, right? And human people have sex."

He remembered the words Rollins spoke to him.

'Well I'm human too.' Carisi thought as he picked Arielle up and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he took her to her bedroom.

Carisi slowly opened his eyes due to hearing the birds outside the window singing. He rubbed his right eye as he sat up a bit to see that he was in bed with Arielle, naked under the covers.

He smiled as he looked at her, sleeping on her right side, with a peaceful look on her face.

He then looked down at his Apple watch to see that it was 6:24 AM. He had to be at work in two hours.

He carefully got out of the bed, picked up his boxers, and pulled up his pants.

"I see that you're leaving." He heard her sweet voice.

'She did always sound like an angel when I get up from bed' He smiled as he looked at her. She hugged the covers to her chest as she stared at him.

"I have to go to work." He said as he was putting on his shirt.

"I had a great time last night." She smiled.

"Yeah, same. Thanks by the way." Carisi looked at the bedroom mirror to fix his hair from its crazed sex state.

"For what?" She simply spoke.

Carisi turned around to look at her. "For helping me heal the pain I felt from her." He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "See you around."

"Yeah, you too." She nodded as she watched him leave her bedroom.

How was the first chapter?

If you're pissed that I had Carisi hook up with his ex, well, she's an important character in this story and there will be a surprising twist later. And after what Carisi went through, he needed to relief his emotions after what Rollins did.

I've finish writing the next chapter, but I still need to reread again in case I want to change some parts of it.

Until then, tell me what you think about the first chapter so far?
