Chapter 1
Steady Dreamer

Kagome had known somewhere in the back of her mind that she would have to make this decision at some point, she just hadn't known it'd be this soon. The Shikon Jewel had been fully made, Naraku was gone, and also Kikyo. In the end Naraku had killed Inuyashas former lover, and blind with fury Inuyasha had killed him. He had become a monster that day and had almost killed Kagome and her friends. But yet again she had saved him, and again he had forgotten it. It was as if he didn't care she might be leaving.
"Inuyasha... I have to talk to you." Kagome said with a sad look on her face. Lady Kaede knew what this was about, for it was her that had urged her to tell him on her own.
"Not now Kagome I'm a little busy." He waved her off. He liked being lazy these days. It kept his mind off of what happened to Kikyo.
"No, Inuyasha it's really important." Her voice was becoming weaker and weaker, as was her knees. She knew what she needed to tell him but she didn't want to. She wanted to stay here with Inuyasha and still have the chance to visit her brother, and mother... even her grandfather.
Sighing heavily and rolling his eyes inuyasha rolled to his feet, "Ok than I'm all ears."
"Umm... let's go for a walk?" She said quietly, trying to hide the fact that she was confused and hurt.
1 hour later
Small talk wasn't working anymore, and it was now that Inuyasha sensed something was wrong, "So are you gonna tell me whats wrong? Or keep me guessing?"
"Umm... I don't know Inuyasha. I'm afraid to tell you." It was than that Kagome wanted to run away to the well and see if Inuyasha would follow her. But she couldn't anymore because she knew the well would close behind her.
Inuyasha rolled his eyes, "So you keep me walking for an hour for nothng?"
Kagome started to cry, "I don't wanna leave you Inuyasha but I have to. I have family and friends and.... And... I don't wanna leave any of you! I don't wanna..." She started to sniffle and blush, "I have to make a choice. Wheather or not I want to stay here, but I don't know what to do."
Inuyasha was wondering the same thing these days. He knew that Kagome would have to make a big decision, but he had no idea that it might have to do something with losing her. He looked at her sierously, "So what are you going to do?"
Kagome started to cry again, "I want to stay here with you Inuyasha, but... my family."
"Kagome... I... I..." He stuttered. Kagome wanted so badly to hear the three words that had been on the edge of her tounge come out of his mouth. But she knew that wouldn't happen, she knew he still loved Kikyo, "I want you to be happy." His bangs covered his expression.
But, Inuyasha...I'm only happy when I'm with you.
