H/C Bingo Prompt: monophobia(fear of being alone)
Great souls endure in silence. ~Friedrich Schiller
Finally, Sam stopped screaming. God, it was worse than the last time. He wanted to cover his ears and look away. He won't do it. Not this time. He owned Sam that much.
He watched his brother's body arch up from the table then collapsed on the table.
He didn't move after that.
"Open the door, Bobby," He choked out. He had to get his brother. He had to know that it was his brother. Not some soulless shell walking around.
"But…." Bobby said as he eyed Sam then him wearily.
"Death said he is going to give him back his soul."
"And you believe him?"
"Yes."
"Do you believe that is Sam?"
"I want too."
Bobby sighed as he unlocked the door.
"I ain't going anywhere."
He nodded his head then walked through the door. Slowly, he approached his brother and swallow when he came to the foot of the cot. He took in his brother's motionless body. That is when he noticed Sam's bloody leg.
"Crap…where is the kit?" He shouted.
Bobby waved his hand toward the cabinets but his eyes reminded trained on Sam.
He went over to the cabinet and got out the kit. He took it back to the cot with him and took a seat. He opened up the kit and got a pair of scissors. He hoped that Sam wasn't fond of these pants. He cut away the bloody pants then tossed it aside. Then he got some peroxide and a cleaning cloth out. He poured the liquid onto the cloth and started gently cleaning the wound.
His eyes would dart up at his brother from time to time. His brother just continued staring into space. A moment of panic flooded through his body. Could the wall fallen down already? Hell, was there even a wall? He took a shaky breathe and god, please let there be a wall. He didn't want his brother to go through what he went through. He still had nightmares after all of these years. He got the bandages out of the kit and started wrapping his leg.
"I know that…I know that you didn't want it back. I just couldn't leave it there."
He glanced up at his brother in hopes of a reaction.
"It wouldn't be fucking fair. You didn't deserve being there, man."
He finished bandaging up the wound before he started checking for other injuries.
"It was weird. How you talk about yourself. How you view life in general. It completely flipped me out. It wasn't you."
He watched his brother's fingers twitched before he continued on.
"Maybe…it was you. Only a different side of you. Hell, if I know. I missed you. You are right, you know. You really should have been a lawyer. I never did work well when I was alone. Don't dare bring in that weird word… mono…no….no… monophobia. I'm not afraid of being alone."
His brother started to blink his eyes.
"I am terrified. You were right to send me to Lisa. But…But…."
He sighed softly.
"I am terrified for you more. You were alone for a very long time even without a damn soul to stop you from doing stupid crap."
He watched as his brother seemed to come into himself. Did he do the same thing when he came back? Hope not. He looked like a fish flopping around.
He wasn't leaving. His hand wrapped around Sam's wrist. His brother's eyes snapped over at him. Really….really…looked at him.
He felt his breath caught in his throat as his brother continued to stare at him. Then he saw something that he hasn't seen in a long time and it almost made him cry.
Emotions.
Not the fake ones that RoboSam acted on! Real…honest to god emotions. The next moment completely sold him to the fact that his brother was back.
"Dean?"
His heart almost burst. His hands scrambled for the cuffs.
Finally, his brother was home.
