Emily looked at Hotch with sad eyes and whispered "You can't help who you love Hotch. I'll get over it. I just thought that you should know that I am in love with you. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I realize that this will probably mess up our friendship but I had to tell you."
Emily turned to leave Hotch's office but his voice stopped her. "What makes you think that I don't love you Emily? Why do you assume that I don't feel the same way that you do?"
Emily turned towards Hotch with wide eyes. "That is an easy answer Hotch. You can't stand to be around me. We use to hang out but now it seems that you don't even want to do that anymore. You use to pair me with you but you stopped. If you love me Hotch then you have a damn funny way of showing in."
In two strides Hotch was in front of Emily. "That's where you are wrong Emily. I don't pair you with me any longer because I know that if I did I wouldn't let you do your job. Every time we are on a case I have to fight with myself to let you do your job. I love you so much that it scares me. I want you in all ways that there are Emily. I need you like I need air to breathe. Now that I know that you love me like I love you I can't and I won't let you go."
Emily's heart stopped in her chest and then started beating rapidly. She couldn't believe what she had just heard come out of Hotch's mouth. Instead of saying anything to him she stood on her tip toes and gave him a tender but passionate kiss. She has finally gotten her heart's desire and just like him she couldn't and wouldn't let him go.
