Sheldon Plankton was happy with his life.
He had a beautiful wife, had a great job, he was dashingly good looking, he had no enemies. He had succeeded as he always told himself. His goal in life was to brighten the minds of young people, which is why he became a university professor at the University of Bikini Bottom. He specialized in chemical engineering, but was also a great mechanic and computer genius. Every day, he would be in every science magazine, he was an academic star.
At home, he had his lovely wife Karen. She was as smart as he was, and was also plankton. They had met at an academic conference in New Kelp city. They had fallen madly in love from the second they met. After several years of dating, Sheldon proposed to her. She was overjoyed and they got married only days afterwards.
Sheldon always had a little thing for cooking. He was never really good at it, but he enjoyed every second of it. He always cooked his favourite meal: chum. He thought it was the tastiest thing in the entire sea. Of course, nobody would ever try his food because it was always so disgusting.
One day, he was in his laboratory when he discovered something outstanding. He had created the most delicious patty in the world. It was a very delicate blend of spices from all over the world. He called it "The non-chum chum patty" He wrote the recipe down on a piece of paper and stuck it into a bottle so that no one would dare try to steal, or so he thought...
