The Agent who loved me: Chapter 2 Misa

Misa sat on the edge of the King sized bed in the apartment Light had rented for them a few months back; clutching the silk covers that held Lights scent. It had been 2 weeks since Light had last been in contact with Misa. For Misa, it seemed like yesterday, but about a month ago, Light had suddenly packed up his bags and left. His only words on the matter had been that he had to do a police job, and with that, he had shut the door and drove away, leaving Misa distraught and wondering:

Had it been the whole truth...?

"Light...My Light..."

Misa could already feel tears forming in her eyes; how could he betray her for that pervert...That was when it clicked. It had been L- he had stole Light from her! For that, she would see him dead. Takada had told her a few days ago that Light had got married. But he didn't say who to. He had given out hints now and then like he's got black spiky hair or he loves cake. But with all Misas modelling jobs, she hadn't had time to think who it was Light had got married to. She didn't believe Takada. Why would Light do that to her? A week ago, Misa had received the worst phone call of her life- to make it worse, it had been no other than Kiyomi Takada. She had hesitated, wondering what her self- proclaimed enemy had to tell her so urgently, but eventually picked up. Boy, did she wish she hadn't...

Takada had gave her the devastating news about the marriage, and it didn't help that Misa had been depressed anyway about her missing lover....Now, she had completely cut herself off from the rest of the world besides her managers. She had even stopped her acting and modelling. But know she finally had someone to pin the hate and suffering on.

"...Bitch, how could he do this to me! All the lies! I believed every word he said! And all that time I was sitting worrying about him, he was sitting laughing at L's petty sarcasm. I swear I will see L dead! Even if it means something I will never forgive myself for..."
Now, she felt like there was no reason to live at all; she had secluded herself in their formerly shared apartment, basking in memories and photos the once perfect couple had shared with one another. Misa couldn't hold the tears back any longer and burst into a flood of tears; rising from the bed, she picked up the last photo she had of her and Light from the bedside table. Looking at it one last time was the last straw... she threw it to the floor. Shards of glass flew everywhere. Suddenly, her legs gave way beneath her... Misa dropped to her knees, still sobbing with shock and anger.

"I can't go on! Not without Light...!"
