"… Do you think it's strange, that there's a way, of how you look, and how you act, and how you think? Pretend they're not the same as you…"

During breakfast, few words were exchanged. Once finished, Kairi led Ebsolon out of the mansion.
"This is the main road." Kairi said, "It runs through town all the way to the beach. Here, follow me, I'll show you around the town and then we can head to the other island. You don't mind riding in boats, do you?" She asked.
Ebsolon shook her heads, "I've dealt with plenty of boats on the Startide Islands." She thought to herself.

Kairi led Ebsolon through the main town, showing her different routes and stores, "It's may seem confusing at first, but once you've gotten used to it, you'll be able o find your way around blindfolded." Kairi assured.
Ebsolon nodded, "Childs play."
Laughing Kairi said, "Pretty much! Ready to head to the other island? The others should be there by now."
Ebsolon shrugged, "Sure."

"Darn it, Tidus! Give me my jump rope back!" A girl with light brown should length hair complained to a boy with short blonde hair.
"What rope?" he asked.
The girl frowned at the boy and her knee came up and met with the boys' crotch.
Sora, Riku, and another boy with bright orange hair all cringed in response. The boy opened his mouth and meant to scream, but nothing came out except air, and fell to the ground, crawling into the fetal position.
"Here." He said in a high pitched voice.
"Thank You." The girl turned, and saw Ebsolon and Kairi walking up, "Hey there Kairi! And you must be Ebsolon?"
She nodded.
"Yeah, Sora and Riku here told us about you. Please to meet ya! I'm Selphie, that's Wakka," She pointed to the orange haired boy, "And that writhing thing of a boy is Tidus."
The boy looked up a his name being said and gave a small wave, then crawled back into a ball.
"Jesus, Selphie, how hard did you hit him?" Riku asked, flipping his wooden sword over his shoulder.
"Only hard enough to know he wont steal from me again." She shrugged, rolling her jump rope up in her arm.

Riku rolled his eyes, then turned to Ebsolon, "that a real sword?" he asked, pointing to the weapon sheathed on her back.
"As real as it gets." She said, taking it off of her back, looking at it, then back at Riku.
"So, you know how to fight in melee?"
"Well… No… Not really."
"Well let's see how good you are then. Let's spar, Sora, given Ebsolon your sword until we can maker her one."
"Here," Sora tossed Ebsolon his sword.
"Good luck," He laughed.
Ebsolon placed her sheath in the sand behind her. She rolled her wrists and looked up at Riku, "Don't go easy on me." She told him.
"Don't worry," Riku held out his hand and held his sword up to his chest, "I don't plan on it."

He came at Ebsolon hard and fast, she dodged him by moving to the right and swung at his back. He rolled forward and prodded Ebsolons side. This caused her to jump sideways and duck, swinging the sword at his legs. Getting knocked down, Riku fell to his back. Ebsolon moved to pin him but Sora shouted, "Look out!" But too late, Ebsolon was taken by surprise when Riku flung himself at her, the momentum pulling him up from the ground and propelling him into her stomach, knocking the wind out of her.
She fell onto her back, gasping for air. When she could finally breathe properly she sat up and got to her knees.
"Holy Tutela." Ebsolon thought to herself, "And I thought the Greycoats were tough."
Riku walked up to her and offered a hand, a gentle smile on his face, "Not bad for someone how can't 'really fight'" He said pulling her up, "You a'ight?"
Ebsolon handed Sora back the wooden sword, "Yeah. Just got the wind knocked outta me, 's'all. Where's you learn to go that?" She asked.
"Do what? The kick thing? I learned it myself." He shrugged nonchalantly, "Comes in handy where you fight Sora."
Sora grunted, "Says you."
"But anyway, I think with some practice Ebsolon, you can be a really good fighter. All you need to do is find a style that best fits you."
Ebsolon nodded in response, "Alright." She smiled.
"Whoa! I think that's the first time I've seen you smile!" Sora laughed in an overly exaggerated gasp.
"huh… Guess it is… Thanks." Ebsolon responded, turning to the group, picking up her sheath.
"Nah, it's no problem." Sora smiled, "C'mon let's find you a stick to beat us with." The group laughed.

"… Do you know about a strength in convictions? Or how she puts all her faith in religion? Did we take the time to really discover, how little we know about each other?..."
