You walk into the designated pub, where you agreed to meet her. The room is dark, filthy; not anything like you expected. You see her in the corner, already sipping on a firewhiskey. Calling the barkeep, you order the same. Heading to her table, you sit down across from her.

She grumbles out a greeting; she's already sloshed from the alcohol.

"It's nice to finally meet you Hermione. I got to say, it's shocking to see a war fugitive showing her face here," you say. A barmaid brought you your drink, and ignoring the fingerprints and dusty glass, you take a sip.

The alcohol burns your throat, warming your insides. You take another drink, this time it doesn't burn as much.

She finally gives you eye contact; her face is smudged with dirt. Her once curly, bouncy hair is short; it barely passes her ears.

"Tell me everything, what do you want the world to know?" You whisper that part, you never know when someone is listening. She instantly perks up, you're not sure if it's because she's eager to tell you her tale, or if she just wants everyone to know the truth of how everything went wrong.

"Have you ever heard of the saying 'keep your friends close, and your friends closer?'"

You nod your head, familiar with the Muggle saying.

"That's what I was doing; do you really think that I, the Dark Lord's daughter, would willingly befriend the 'boy you wouldn't die' and his weasel sidekick? It started as me just getting close to him to deliver him to my father; I just never expected Dumbledore to get in the way.

"He was a fool; sending three children to destroy Horcruxes. Didn't think to tell any of the older members of the Order, did he? Unfortunately, Harry succeeded. That was never part of the plan!" Hermione shouted the last part, before tipping the rest of her glass down her throat.

You jump at her sudden abruptness as the barkeep brings her another drink. She continues to tell you her tale of how she was supposed to bring them to the Manor. How her father didn't arrive in time to kill Harry. They whisked her away, and she figured that Gringotts would be the perfect place for them.

Still, Harry was too fast; and she didn't want to give her hand away too soon. You listen to her regale the secret event's of the war, how when they finally arrived at Hogwarts her efforts for the past seven years were useless.

She blew her cover when her father died; running to his body and screaming. A lower ranking Death Eater had whisked her away.

When she's finished, and you've gotten everything that you needed from her, you leave. She was slumped over the table before you made it out of the door.

You finally had answers; taking the glamour off you shake out your long fiery red hair and apparate back to your home; the burrow.
