It was dark and the rain dripped down from the dark sky. The perfect weather for what I'm about to do. It's almost poetic. The sky cries along with me. These were the thoughts that ran through the head of the hooded figure as she made her way down the street. The girl came to a halt in front of a tall office building and stared into the darkened lobby. The office was closed for the night, so no one was there to stop her. That's exactly what she wanted.

The girl ripped back her hood, revealing a head of short, snow white hair. To a bystander, she might have seemed a fairy without wings, but only she knew the truth behind her innocent mask. A truth that none could ever guess by her slender frame and flawless angel-like face. For the first time, she chose to act upon that truth. She would finally show the world what silent shadows dwelled within.

She pulled back her fist, preparing to strike. The glass shattered as her fist connected with it, sending diamonds and rubies raining down on the concrete. The girl glanced around before stepping into the hole she had made. Walking to the stairwell, all she felt was an empty calmness. The white-haired girl climbed up the steps to the door marked "Roof," stepping once more into the melancholic downfall, mixing her tears with the sky's.

To someone passing on the street, the girl would have looked like a large bird or some sort of statue. To her, she was nothing. Silent eyes watched from afar as she stepped up to the edge, a beautiful angel who was once loved. The watcher stayed at a distance, knowing there was nothing to be done, for the choice had already been made. Although, that didn't mean that silent eyes hadn't wept.

One more breath. One more step. One more moment and one more thought. One more silent goodbye as she faced oblivion.

And then she fell.
