"Aren't you supposed to be, like, dead?"
Yes, yes I am. I know I told you I was quitting to work on a book, but one day, as I was deleting all my unnecessary google docs, I came across some of my old work.
After unashamedly reading every Total Drama fic I've ever posted, plus several that I started that never saw the light of day, the allure of this website came right back.
One recurring theme I noticed is that there were many characters I wrote whose potential was wasted. I was a young, new writer back then and I backed off to some extent. This fic seeks to rectify my past mistakes; it is a total reboot of the entire K'wala franchise wrapped into a single story.
The Total Drama fan community is dwindling. Even after only a month or two off this website the usernames I see are completely different. I know that soon, there won't be much of a community left and I want to write one really great story as my gift to all of you.
I was ThorBringsTheThunder. I am no longer him. He pretended like he was somebody who mattered because he wrote fiction about a kids' cartoon. I make no such claim. If this story goes unnoticed, so be it. If it becomes the best thing I write in my entire life, so be it.
That actually got a little depressing at the end there. I mean, this isn't a life-or-death scenario- let's have some fun! Yeah!
What? You thought I actually turned all serious-like? Ha. Never.
All right, without any more hesitation or monologuing, let's establish a couple of key points.
1: This is a reboot, and that means that nothing that I've written before this point ever existed in this universe. It's like how the first Suicide Squad sucked so they're making a new one without Will Smith. (Making? Made? I'm actually more of a Marvel fan so I don't really track the comings and goings of the DCEU. And I'm getting way off topic here.)
2: Remember Thor's Prediction Palooza? If you don't, it is a running competition I had where you could predict who was going home in the reviews and if you got it right, you got points. Most points equals winner. Well, that's back! And I really hope you guys participate. With these contestants it will be interesting to see how you guys do.
3: This season's going to have a near blackout of information regarding what's coming and when. So with that in mind, I'm going to try and respond to your reviews via private messaging.
4: As for timing of chapters, I have no idea how long everything is going to take. It really depends on my mood, but I'm limiting my chapter lengths to an average of 10000 words (never more than 12000), and I only ever have up to three hours of school per day. So it should be relatively quick.
5: Like I said before, let's have some fun with this! If you think some aspects of the story can be improved, review it or message me and we can chat. I strive to make this the best story I can.
Onto the official cast list! Let me start off by saying, wow! I asked for characters and you guys delivered. I think I had around 20 submissions to fill six slots when all was said and done! Of course, that meant I cut a lot of good characters. If your OC was cut, don't take it personally- just because they didn't make it in doesn't mean they're bad, it just meant they weren't right for this story as a whole. But now, the moment you've all been waiting for!

Update: Minor cast tweaks were in order because I wanted to make sure every author only had a single character in (Sorry Mistress Mysterious) so I made two minor character adjustments. The first was to remove Koh and replace her with Connor, and the second was to switch Harald out for Maddie (they both belong to the same author, it was just to keep a gender balance).
