Hey everyone! Hope you enjoy my story! Anyways, R&R please. It's written in the point of view of my favorite character that I RP with, so I hope I can make it really special. You may flame me all you want, I don't care; I want this story to be the best it can be, so I would love for you to point out even a one tiny grammatical error. Though good reviews are welcomed too! Ok, I'll shut up now before I make even less sense... Enjoy!

And I do not own Warriors.

It was a dark night, the moon but a thin crescent overhead. Not even with the addition of the countless stars shimmering in the sky could much light be shed on the shadowed land. A light breeze blew, rustling the needles on the pine trees. It was a seemingly peaceful night, right? Perhaps, but it was one fraught with worry for one particular she-cat.

Padding slowly through the undergrowth, her distress was obvious because of her twitching tail-tip and slight frown. She wasn't fearful, nor angry. So then why was she like this? It was more because of an anxious feeling than anything else; though curiosity shone through every once in a while.

She didn't even seem to know where she was going. Her paws were leading her to her destination unbidden. Soon, the she-cat reached a small clearing bathed in an unusual shaft of moonlight. She sat in the center, wrapping her tail neatly across her paws.

StarClan, why have you brought me here?

Closing her eyes thoughtfully, she was startled to hear a voice coming from behind her.

"Welcome young one."

She turned to see another she-cat approaching her. Her pelt sparkled with starlight and her eyes revealed wisdom that seemed far beyond her age. A flicker of recognition passed through the other she-cat's gaze, but it only heightened her curiosity.

"Hawksong," she said softly. "Why have you called me?"

The brown tabby named Hawksong answered slowly, but in one blunt sentence.

"To warn you."

The other she-cat wasn't particularly surprised by this answer, but her worries did seem to be renewed. She answered in an equally short reply; "Warn me of what?"

Hawksong's eyes clouded over for a moment, her voice growing low and menacing.

"The young will die, the aged will suffer, and the forest will reach its final hour. Beware the shadow of the night."

Once she had finished, Hawksong began to fade away. The she-cat who had been listening with wide eyes the entire time jumped to her paws and called out.

"Wait, Hawksong! What does that mean?"

But it was too late; she was gone. The she-cat was left staring at the space the old tabby had once been sitting.

Come back…

So how was it? Be truthful! I'd just like to add that I might not update for a while, cause of school and everything... Keep in mind, this is only the prologue; the chapters are waaaayy longer.
