Hi again! I know this is a late time to write a story like this but I thought it would be fun still. My friend and I thought of this little idea so I hope it went okay. (It's probably bad though so I apologize!) Either way, thank you for checking it out anyway!

The Right Choice!
"Oh! What do you think, Pikachu? Would this be a good choice?" the energetic trainer said out loud to his trusty partner. Ash flipped through the candy options as he tried to find the perfect one. There were so many.
And so unbelievably cheap too. He wasn't sure why but Ash knew it meant that there was a special occasion if candy was so cheap. Pikachu only looked as amazed while the boy looked over every single one. Ash was going through so many different candy options for a very special reason.
Ash, Clemont, Serena, and Bonnie had all just arrived in Laverre City. However, when they reached the city, Ash overheard something about a day of the year where you give gifts to special friends. Of course, all of his friends were considered special to him, but the first person that popped up in his mind was Serena. Why? The boy didn't know. It was odd to even him. But that didn't matter! He had his mind set on picking out a special gift and the option to him was food. Or more so, candy! And he must have hit the jackpot or something with how less it costed in this city. The thing on T.V. said something about how candy was the typical gift for the event like this.
Because of this and how he heard about it, he separated from the group and explained how he wanted to get something for his Pokémon. Luckily enough, he went shopping at the perfect time. He traveled from shop to shop, looking at all the selections for his choice of candy. He tried thinking of what Serena would like or what her favorites were, but it always went blank.
"I really should have asked her this before I left," Ash groaned out before looking over some more. But if he had, it would probably give it away at what he may be doing out shopping. Plus, he never was good at this kind of thing so it made it even more difficult. He considered bringing Clemont to come and aid him in this type of fiasco but Ash was so excited of his idea that he left too soon. So there went that help. However, he wasn't going to let this get him down. With determination, he knew he would get the right choice!
Of course, he wanted to pick the best ones but because everything was so cheap, it all seemed like the best to him. Eventually, he rounded about three different types of chocolate (which soon came after an hour from hopping to every store) and thought really hard on which one. And after a few minutes of thinking, it wasn't until another idea hit him.
"What's better than one piece of chocolate candy, Pikachu?" At this, Pikachu wasn't quite sure what to make of this question. He only tilted his head to the right, an ear slightly bending as a, "Pi?" escaped from it. With a typical grin from our hero, Ash shouted with a prideful statement, "All of them! She would love to have each one!" And with that, it was settled. Ash paid for the three chocolate candy desserts and left back to meet his companions. The idea was even better than his last one! Why struggle to find the best one when she could just get all three of his options? Plus, it was too hard to pick and he didn't want to get it wrong.
With the bag in his hand and Pikachu on his shoulder, he made way to the PokéCenter where they typically met back when they went out shopping. Serena was there, along with Bonnie. But it seemed that Clemont was still out. 'Probably getting items for another invention...Science was surely amazing!' Ash thought, unable to control the gleam in his eye whenever he said it.
But Ash was quite the impatient one so once he saw Serena, his face lit up while quickening his pace to her direction. "Serena!" Giving a quick shout to his companion.
Hearing the call of her name, she knew who that voice was and looked up from speaking with Bonnie and on towards Ash. As the boy's face did, Serena's too lit up when seeing him call her name. "Ash!" She retorted the shout, walking a few steps ahead to lessen the space between one another.
Finally meeting, Ash was so excited about what he was going to do. "I have this for you!" He raised his arm and move the bag of candy to the girl. "I hope you like it." Ash gave a confident smile and waited for her response.
Understandably, the honey-blonde was a little confused. "For me?" It only took a few seconds but her confused face disappeared to curiosity. She took the bag and peeked inside. "Candy?" A smile soon graced her features while pulling one out. She viewed the three options that he picked out and simply smiled at them all. By this, Ash assumed she liked his gift. which in turn, caused his smile to get even bigger - a grin even! "You like it?" He asked.
With a nod, she answered with a, "Yes!" But was still a little confused about something. "I like it... though, what is this for?" She posed the question while looking up from the bag.
Now this stumped Ash. He knew what it was for but he didn't remember the name of the day. He knew it had a name but what could it have been called again. Back to his thinking face it was for the boy. Ash gazed around the Pokémon Center as he thought.
"Oh! I know. It's for Lentine Day!" He expressed confidently. That sounded right to his memory.
But it wasn't helpful to Serena. She only looked even more confused now. But Bonnie - her face went from confusion to quick grinning. 'Oh Ash...' the blonde child thought. She poked at Serena due to figuring it out. "He means Valentine's Day!' Cue more grinning's from her.
Once hearing this, Serena blushed. Could it really be? Ash had got her something for Valentine's Day? She glanced back at the boy, still deeply red driven.
Not hearing what the girl said, Ash continued to look as confident as ever while seeing their faces. Ash obliviously looked past Serena's flushed face as a sign of happiness. "I'm so happy you like it! Pikachu, see? My idea worked!" He glanced back over to the group before his next statement. "But for some reason, the candy was really cheap so I couldn't pass up on all the those, Serena!"
Serena was currently unable to think of a response due to still being embarrassed she had received something specifically from him... on this day!
Bonnie looked at both of them but shook her head at Ash. She knew why it was so cheap. "Ash... it's Valentine's Day. And it was last month!" But Serena didn't care; it was from him and she loved it.
"Eh...? Oh.." He rubbed his cheek embarrassingly at Bonnie's reply.
If only Ash knew this beforehand. Or a month ago. Either would have been fine. But when he's too busy training for the gym leader, who could blame him?
