So I decided to try my hand at a new story. This is not the sequel to Escaping My Past. I wanted to try my hand at something new before I launch back into that. First I wanted to let everyone know before you read this that I'm changing one thing about two things about Mikans appearance to fit this story. However, they're not drastic changes. I really hope everyone enjoys this. :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Gakuen Alice…I know, its very disturbing to hear. Haha

Chp. 1: Intro

Faster.

I had to move faster. That was the only thought running through my mind as I pushed my legs to move forward. The sound of rapid feet hitting pavement echoed throughout the empty streets. Ragged breathing and muffled angry voices followed me as I finally hit the edge of town and rushed into the surrounding woods.

Blindly I shoved through the fallen branches, trying to move quick and silent. The full moon tonight didn't offer much guidance through the thick trees I ran beneath. I could no longer hear my pursuers but that didn't mean they were gone. I had to keep going. What would happen if I was caught?

I could feel my pace quicken as the question sunk into my brain. The sight of an old tree caught my eye from the corner. Two trees connected by the trunk stood tall, towering over the other tree tops. Veering to the right I ran straight for the tree and dug finger tips into the bark. Shoving myself upwards, I climbed until I was close enough to the top to be clocked with darkness.

"Find the witch." A low voice growled below.

Looking down I stared at the twisted faces of my trackers. Averting my gaze, I pressed myself further into the thick trunk.

I sat tense, holding my breath as I watched the five town men who had been chasing me run past. Only a few feet separated each man as they continued to run. They believe there is comfort in numbers. They're wrong. When alone, you have no one to worry about but yourself, no one to slow you down. If you can keep out of your predator hands, even just by inches, then you'll survive.

As the last man disappeared from sight, I released the breath I had been holding.

Chased out of my own town, by my own people.

A witch, huh.

How pathetic.

Sighing, I let my aching legs dangle as I leaned back against the thick wood. As much as I wanted to rest I knew I had to stay alert incase the men came back.

I know this was short but its just the intro! I thought I'd give you a little something to prepare you for the first chapter. I didn't want to leap right in so I thought I'd give this a nice little intro..

PLEASE REVIEW! I've found the more reviews I get the more excited I get for writing, so please give me my little extra push! :)
