Darkness

Summary; Drabble. Dean is left in darkness. Dean/Castiel
A/N; This is my first Supernatural and slash fic. I've been wanting to write one for awhile and my muse blessed me today in Chemistry class. So here you go, reviews are appreaciated.

Dean watched, dazed, as Castiel was thrown against a wall. Dean pushed himself to his feet, groaning as the pain shot through him. "Cas!" he called out.
He was barely on his feet and Castiel, his angel, was already up. "Look away!" Cas called to him. Dean turned his head, burying it in his sleeve. The blinding light crept through the cracks between his eyes and his sleeve, illuminating the back of his eyelids. He knew that Cas was showing his true form.
Dean clutched his hand to his ears, falling to his knees. Cas was in the middle of exorcising the demon, when his true voice crept out. Dean stopped himself from calling out 'Cas, lower the volume!' Instead he dealt with the pain.

Cas stood above the curled form of Dean. He had stopped the demon, but Dean had slipped into unconsciousness. He knelt down gently nudging him. "Dean, Dean, wake up" he said.
Dean stirred at the sound of a voice calling his name. He opened his eyes, well he thought he did. He instantly knew who was above him by the sound of the voice, but he couldn't see Cas.
Darkness
"I can't see Cas" he said, an almost sob. He felt Castiel's hand caress his forehead. "It's ok Dean" he said, a tinge of guilt in his voice. "I'm sorry, if I hadn't..." Dean cut him off "Don't Cas, it's not your fault."
Cas smiled, Dean always worried about other before himself. Here he was laying there, blind and he was trying to comfort him. Cas chuckled softly before cradling Dean's head. "I love you" he said, a grin on his face. He bent down, placing on chaste kiss on his hunter's lips.
Dean smiled into the kiss. It meant a lot to know that even though he's blind, broken and damaged, Cas still loved him. He let a single tear roll down his cheek.
