I sadly do not own any version of The Phantom of the Opera. That honor belongs to Andrew Lloyd Webber and the late Gaston Leroux

I am dark and musical

I wonder if she will ever see that his love for her will never die

I hear the music that he writes, slowly and gently

I see the masque of love betrayed

I want the girl to love the man, not feat the monster

I am dark and musical

I pretend that the boy never dared to enter the angel's domain

I feel the night's soft caresses

I touch the cold petals of the fallen rose

I worry that the tale of the ghost will vanish, lost in time

I cry when the magic fades away and the world returns to reality

I am dark and musical

I understand that she must follow the path that the fate's divine, yet wish she would choose another

I say "she alone could have made his song take flight, alas, it's over now, the music of the night"

I dream that the angel and the little girl find happiness together

I try to accept the fool, yet fail

I hope that I will hear their story endless more times

I am dark and musical

An "I am" poem I wrote for a college class for Phantom. Hope you enjoyed it.
