Disclamer: I do not own Maximum Ride, or any of the characters. I do, however own this poem.
Empty Horizon
Sometimes I'm furious, sometimes I'm sad. Other times I'm hopeful, and rarely, I'm frightened, but when am I ever happy?
Constantly fighting, constantly grieving… who is there to comfort me? No one.
Only the wind caresses my cheek and whispers in my ear. Only the blanket on my unmade bed embraces and envelopes my cold and tired form.
Nobody loves me, I love nobody. At least, not anymore. What is there to live for? Who lives for me?
The answer to both these questions is the same. It's simple, beautiful, common, but rare, touching, and yet passionate. It's Hope.
I live for Hope, I live for myself, I live for the ones that couldn't; I live for the future. I live for when I get to see my one true family once again. I live for you, Fang.
I didn't originally write this poem about Max. Yes, it's about Max. This poem is as if the Flock had died, and Max was still alive. Anyways, I just adjusted it to her. This is my first ever fanfic, so please review. Criticism is welcome!
