"You came back….For her?"
"Yeah….Kate, I have no idea what to do. I want her back."
That hit Kate hard as she sat next to the green eyed boy. That wasn't the thing she wanted to hear. She wanted to hear that he came back for a new start, or even to be with her. Not something about him coming back for Rachel. She didn't want that. She loved her cousin dearly, but seriously she wanted to hit her because she had Jesse or at least had him.
"Why do you want her back Jesse? She has a boyfriend and well…"
"I know that, but I just want her." He sighed and sat back on the couch. "She's just so amazing and talented and beautiful."
"Well then if you want her that bad, go try to win her back."
"Kate I tried. I just don't know what to do. I was kinda thinking you could talk to her for me." He said looking at the blue eyed girl.
She honestly just wanted to hit him at this point. She sighed. "Jesse, I don't know. I really think you should handle it yourself."
He bit his lip and there was something about her that caught his eye. He didn't know if it was the way the light was hitting her crystal blue eyes, or if it was the way her golden locks framed her face but, he liked it. His heart started beating a little faster and he realized that what he was really in love with was the girl in front of him. She was beautiful and talented and just flat out amazing.
She noticed the way he was looking at her. Her heart was racing. She felt her throat go dry and she just wanted to scream. He was looking at her the way that he looked at his previous girlfriends. She was about to jump out of her skin.
They were silent and motionless. He slowly moved closer to her and she almost went into his lap. She bit her lip as she looked up at him. He leaned in closer to her. Was he actually doing this? Was he really this close to the person who took his spot at the star of Vocal Adrenaline? He slowly wrapped his arms around her and laid her back onto the couch. She bit her lip and stared into his eyes, raising her hand to stroke the shell of his ear lightly. He bit his lip to muffle a groan and felt goose bumps cover his body.
He lightly brushed his lips against hers and she attempted to catch his lips with hers. He smirked as he quickly pulled away and looked down her with lust full eyes. She couldn't take it anymore. She tangled her fingers in his brown curls and pulled him down, kissing his lips lightly. He smiled against her lips and the world seemed to slip away. It was just him and her. She lightly tugged on his hair and pulled away after a bit. He looked down at the girl and smiled.
"I'm glad I came home. I think I've found what I've been looking for."
"Yeah? What's that?"
"A girl who is a star like me and who's a drama queen like me." He smiled and kissed her cheek. "You're like the female me, Kate."
She giggled. "Well, I'm glad you're thinking about someone other than yourself."
"So, wanna go see the local production of Wicked?"
"Jesse , are you asking me on a date?" She giggled and ruffled his hair.
"Only if you're saying yes." He smiled and lightly kissed her lips.
"Yes, Jesse. I'll go with you."
At that moment, Rachel disappeared from Jesse's head and heart. He found the person that was his perfect match.
