Prologue
Alice was bored; that was the only clear thing.
She tossed and turned on the green grass attempting to become comfortable.
Her sister was sitting on the only flat rock in their large, immaculate garden. Every hedge was clipped and preened into immaculate circles. Alice hated it with a passion.
To Alice, it was boring.
"Why are you reading that?" Alice asked her sister "it has no pictures, that seems awfully dull."
Her sister sighed; she found Alice exasperating sometimes.
"This is a reading book. It does not need pictures. You get the pictures in your head through the words."
Alice found this awfully curious.
"But Mathilda I only see pictures in my dreams."
"Sometimes people see pictures outside their dreams." She replied and returned to her reading.
Alice stared out at the small river at the bottom of the garden. It was pretty but Alice still felt boredom fogging her senses.
Suddenly Alice saw a flicker in the corner of her vision. A large white rabbit ran in front of her. There was nothing exceptional about the rabbit apart from a small waistcoat that it wore.
"I'm late!" It exclaimed.
Alice felt her curiosity getting the better of her.
She stood to follow but a hand kept her back.
She saw her sister staring up with her dark eyes, so different to hers, pleading.
"Don't go Alice, please." She was almost to the point of tears, "You won't ever return." Alice looked over the rabbit; it appeared to be waiting for her.
"I'm sorry, sister, I must go." She smiled at her and pulled her arm away. The curiosity was far to much for her. She had to follow that rabbit. Alice ran to catch up.
She didn't look back.
If Alice had cared to look she would have seen her sister stumbling to follow. Her foot caught and she fell into the river. It was deep and her foot was trapped. She screamed but only bubbles left her mouth.
Alice didn't look back.
Here is the prologue. :) Please ignore any spelling mistakes, I haven't wrote in quite a while so I may be a little rusty. :) This story is going to very differant from the original but I cannot claim any credit for the characters of wonderland. If you could review that would be nice! :) (The prologue seems a little confusing but all should be explained in time!) :)
