Heya! This is my first attempt of a song fic so please be kind =) (not saying you wouldn't but still XD) The chorus for this song can't really be explained so therefore I'm just gonna put in the chorus. 10th Doctor/Rose 3 (my fave pairing =D) Anyway, so the song is yellow –coldplay, Lyrics are in bold italics and chorus is underlined =)… so enjoy:
Look at the stars, look how they shine for you and everything you do. Yeah, they were all yellow.
Rose sat down on a hill under a tree just outside London, a lovely pond reflecting the night sky below her. She glanced up at the stars and smiled at how bright they were compared to how they were normally hiding behind the many clouds that haunted England. Tonight the sky was clear and the stars were glittering a lovely yellow colour.
I came along,
"Hello Rose Tyler," the Doctor smiled down at her and planted himself next to her on the damp, green grass.
She looked back at him, her eyes sparkling, "Hi."
I wrote a song for you, and all the things you do, and it was called 'yellow'
"I wrote a song," the Doctor fumbled in his blazer pocket and pulled out a piece of paper, "For you."
Rose let out a laugh that made the Doctor melt, "You wrote me a song? The Doctor wrote a song! What's it called then?"
"Yellow."
So then I took my time, Oh what a thing to've done, And it was all yellow
She blushed, probably remembering the time the Doctor had said that the Cat Nurses probably thought she was strange too, after all she was pink and yellow.
'I won't tell her yet,' the Doc told himself, 'I'll wait for the right time…'
Your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones, Turn into something beautiful. D'you know? You know I love you so, You know I love you so…
I swam across, I jumped across for you, Oh what a thing to do, 'Cause you were all yellow
'John Smith' stood up, pulling off his blazer, and ran down the hill, jumping into the water that lay beneath it.
Rose sprung up, "Doctor!" she yelled, "Oh my great aunt!"
His head appeared and he burst into laughter, "It's freezing in here!"
"Doctor, what on earth was that for?" Rose demanded.
"Oh, Rose, have a little bit of excitement in your life!"
She crossed her arms, "I do."
He laughed again, walking easily out of the pond, his trousers clinging to his legs and his shirt drenched.
He was rather glad it was a warm summer's evening. He ran back up the slope and collapsed happily next to her feet.
I drew a line, I drew a line for you… Oh what a thing to do, And it was all yellow
"Wow, this song is quite amazing, I'm amazed, Doctor," Rose smiled as she folded up the piece of paper she had picked up a few moments before, "Impressive!"
He smirked. "Great! Pass it here," he flipped over onto his stomach, reaching into his pocket and receiving a yellow pencil.
He accepted the page and drew a line on the side that was not written on.
"This," he gestured to his drawing, "Is you."
Rose's head tilted to the side, "How?"
The Doctor put the page back down on the grass and scribbled a bit more.
"There!"
"Nice, a stickman that is supposed to be me! Doctor, you're out-doing yourself tonight."
Your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones. Turn into something beautiful… D'you know? For you I bleed myself dry, For you I bleed myself dry
It's true. Look how they shine for you, Look how they shine for you, Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you, Look how they shine for you, Look how they shine
He turned back over, sitting up again. He patted the ground next to him, instructing Rose to sit with him. She accepted, of course, with a gracious smile.
The Doctor pointed at the sky and said, "Look at the stars, Look how they shine for you, And all the things that you do…"
