Perfect. by kacau

Sonny Monroe was a liar.

He knew that from the moment he saw her. Her manners, her happiness, her thoughts. They were just too perfect to be real. So, when he saw her looking spaced out or writing something he didn't know what it was, he would smirk and call her immature.

And he wasn't lying. She was immature.

But she was immature because she didn't want people to know her real self, she would just make up a perfect person and act as if it was her.

Sometimes he felt sorry for Sonny Monroe.

She was staring at her door again. He frowned, never really understanding her. Sonny was also frowning, glaring at the perfectly shaped star.

This time, Chad decided he wouldn't walk away. He had already done that too much, you know? Walked away from her.

"What is so special about that star, Monroe?" Sonny jumped slightly at his voice but kept quiet. She sighed.

"It's just too perfect." And he noticed she was being truthful, maybe for the first time since they'd met. "How am I supposed to be that perfect? I could never put such perfection in paper. I could never do that." This time she was staring at him. He shrugged.

"I don't think you need to be that perfect. What's the matter with being yourself?" Her eyes were blank and he almost smirked at the thought of making her speechless.

"People have expectations." Her voice was low and sad. Chad had the urge to hug her, but he didn't.

"If it's so important to you..." He grabbed the star cautiously and detached it from the door. He walked into the room and took a pen and paper from the table. He positioned the star over the paper and gestured the pen in her direction. Sonny looked at him curiously.

Chad took her hand and positioned the pen, guiding her as they outlined the star.

"What are you do...?" But she interrupted herself as she saw what they had done. He had moved the star so she could see their drawing. A perfectly shaped star – just as the wood one – stood at the paper.

He couldn't understand why he had done that but the look on her face made him forget about any doubts. She smiled happily at him and hugged him. His arms snaked around her waist and he thought it was the better feeling he had ever felt in his life.

"Thank you, Chad. Thank you!" She murmured in his ear. He smiled, holding her closer.

"I still think you don't have to be perfect but that might be a start." He let go of her but kept close. "People don't love perfection, they love the fact they can love someone despite their imperfections." Chad grinned as he caressed her cheek. "Maybe that's why I love you." And, just like that, he walked away.

Sonny took a deep breath, still smiling. She knew Chad was right. He was egocentric, idiotic, arrogant and many other things but she wouldn't love him if he was any other way. And, thinking like that, she took her purse and left the studio, telling Zora that no, she wouldn't go see Monkeys War III: The last banana batle with her in the way.

And Chad? Well, Chad also went home, knowing more than ever how right he was, because he knew he didn't love Sonny for the perfection she wanted to show, but for her lying and for her immaturity, the imperfect parts of her.

Hey. This is an answer to ohkd's fanfiction "Girl". I didn't ask her if I could do this and I know it's kindda wrong but I took what I understood from her fic and used to make something from Chad's pov. Ohkd, I hope you like this. I just wanted a happy ending. This is my third english fanfic so I might have made a lot of mistakes. Help me!
