PROLOGUE
Andrea POV
Hi, my name is Andrea. I didn't want this to happen but it did. It was just a normal tuesday, I just finished finished school and was walking home with my best friend, Marie (we call and treat each other like sisters though we are not blood related), we were almost at my house when a van came out of nowhere and then boom! I felt a needle on my back. I was falling but I was awake enough to see Marie fall too. When I woke up I was in a cage, Marie was next to me. My clothes were replaced with a blue hospital gown and Marie was wearing one too. Where were we? Why are we in cages? and why is there someone coming?!
Marie POV
Hi, my name is Marie. I was walking home with my bestfriend/sister Andrea till this happened. I'm in a cage. Why? I asked myself….Well anyway, I heard the door open and someone was walking towards us.
"Hi, I'm Jeb. Welcome." he said before a huge, giant, hairy creature came up behind him.
"Grab this one first." he told the creature.
"Ok" it replied, his hairy arms grabs me and yanked me out my cold iron cage. I was still sleepy and half awake. They dragged me all the way to a room. The put me in an iron bed, cold. The room had multiple needles and computers. They stuck a needle in my arms, legs, chest and finally my back. I felt a sharp pain in my back that got worse and worse till I wanted to die. It stopped then that voice came back. Jeb was his name.
"Take her back then grab the other one. We'll perform the same operation, now go!" he said. I was scared. What did they do to me? What were they gonna do to Andrea?
"Make sure you give her another shoot so she won't endure the pain." I felt another needle and them boom! I was asleep.
Andrea POV
"Where's Marie?" I asked, then the door opened. The creature was back with Marie. She was asleep. What happened? I heard her screaming. Then a video came on showing what happened. Jeb came in.
"This will happen to you. Don't worry, your friend is not dead." he said then he dragged me off. What's going on?
I was asleep then I woke up. The pain was gone. I felt something on my back, it's soft but before I could find out what it was Jeb came in and said…
"Ok girls, don't touch your backs, it's a surprise"
Marie was awake. She looked sacred, no, terrified. We did as we're told and got out. They took us out to a field with a high barrier.
"Ok girls you may feel something on your back, close your eyes and unfold them." I was confused at first but when I spread it out and opened my eyes I was amazed. Wings! I have wings! Black as night, 12 ft long outlined with blood red. I love them. It was me.
Marie POV
I was amazed. Andrea has wings. Do I have them too?
"It's your turn." Jeb told me. They were waiting. Like Andrea, I closed my eyes and spread my wings. I gasped. I looked at my wings, it was 12 ft long, pastel blue with a touch of white. It was me; gentle and nice. I loved them.
"Yes, you have wings but you will not leave. We will test you, train you to help save the world and by help I mean help Max and the flock.
