I was once his friend.
Or in another words, I was just a small figment of his imagination.
When he was a baby, I entertained him for the fun of it.
When he was a kid, I played with him so he wasn't lonely.
When he was a pre-teen, I listened to him when he had problems.
As he grew up, I began fading.
The older he seemed to get, the more I was forgotten.
When he was a kid, he gave me powers. I was water and he was ice.
When he became a teen, he made friends. An odd group they made.
A childish pyromaniac with pink hair and a female warrior with red hair that were both quite strange- but friends nonetheless.
Soon enough, they became his family like I once was.
I quickly was erased from his mind, like I had never existed. Not like I really did, any way.
But when he would feel lonely, I would stay by his side and only then would I be seen and remembered. However, that would change within minutes.
Time passed, and he entered senior year.
I grew up with him and his friends, as if I were really there.
But, nobody could see me.
I was nothing.
Until one day.
One day, magic was gifted to the world.
That was the beginning of the Magic Era.
During the Magic Era, I became real.
Not an illusion, no- I was a real human, alive and breathing.
I needed to find him. I wanted him to see me.
Opening the door, the teacher inside the classroom looked up at me and smiled. He stood up and cleared his throat. "Alright everybody, today we have a new student joining our class. Please be kind with her, you rampaging hooligans." He mumbled the last part under his breathe in amusement.
Once, his homeroom had created types of airplanes with pencils and elastics.
I took a deep breathe, put on a smile and faced the row of students seated at their desks. My eyes scanned the kids before they landed on a all too familiar raven-haired boy.
"Hello, my name is Juvia Lockser. I'm excited to be here at Fairy Tail Academy and hope to become friends with you guys!" I said, bouncing on my heels slightly.
A chorus of 'hello's' echoed the room.
"Juvia, you can sit beside Gray in the middle row over there," The teacher said.
Said boy watched me with a look of shock, happiness and confusion.
"Juvia..?" He muttered quietly once I sat down.
I smiled widely. "Gray-sama,"
And so, my world was restored and I was no longer fading.
