I love you. Three simple words with so many interpretations. They are spoken desperately, the end is near and he is finally expressing it all. The words are pouring out of his mouth like water out of a bottle. It is smooth, exactly what she needs to hear. Overwhelming and fickle.

Speeding in a race against time. He hopes this one time he will be able to beat the clock. They should have never been involved in this. Guilt is beating with his fast racing pulse. Cars honk as he cuts them off but all he can think about is his little girl. One who he is starting to realize is no longer the little girl he thought knew. He wants to watch her grow up. He learned that he can't protect anyone but still feels the need to try. Pressing his foot to the accelerator, to the rescue.

In the position his training taught him he is going to trade his life for hers. If only she could have a chance. After all isn't that what parents do? The greatest thing one can do for their child is to give them a chance at survival. Give them the right tools but sometimes you need to bargain, and that is what he plans to do.

One phone call changes everything as one phone call always can. The voice is saying its sorry but he can barely comprehend. His world is crashing like it did many times except this time there are no pieces to pick up. There is only one way out of this maze and his need for revenge pushes him further along.

Blood is now seeping from his shirt but that doesn't matter. He pulls the trigger like lightening and hears the thunder as the demon crashes into the abyss. Now that his blood thirst is quenched he returns back to her, to comfort, to try and make it better but knowing nothing ever will. It has all changed so much and what he wouldn't give for this day to be over, for it all to be over. On his way back he finds out that she lied, betrayal seeps through his veins, but it is overpowered by the relief and shock. Kim is alive, his daughter, his child, alive!

After the video, when he gets off the phone with Mason, the proof is there. Everything is clear. The shock has worn off and he feels empty. Again he is on the road. He is running again towards danger, towards them, towards her.

I love you. Finding Teri like that is something he never expected. Knowing who did it is almost as bad. Why, why? I love you. Maybe it wasn't passionate or even full devotion but he knew that he loved her as the mother of his daughter. Maybe he wasn't in love with her but he certainly never wanted her to die.

Running, sprinting, faster, he must catch her. She shoots at him. He vaguely wonders if this is revenge for him having to fake kill her. Or maybe it is because he ran back to his wife. For his daughter, not for love. Is that why she killed his wife? Jealously, torture? How could she do this to him? What was she thinking? God, Nina, what have you done?

Firing back he can't believe this is happening. It is so surreal. A daydream, a movie, he wishes this were that way they could kiss and make up at the end. Oh Nina. He sees her crash and runs to her. His gun is drawn, suspicious and cautious, he approaches her. Seeing her porcelain skin drip with blood he doesn't feel satisfaction like he did with Andre. He wants to ask her why? He needs to know. Why, why, why?

His hand is at her throat as it was so many times before. Only this time it isn't play, it is not fun, this is deadly. Squeezing just a little bit Jack wonders what would happen if he shot her. Something in his heart squeezes reflexively. It is then he realizes he loves her. She can murder a thousand and his heart won't change. I love you. And they he lets them take her away.
