Chp. 1- The Mermaid Hunt
Cleo, Emma, and Rikki were walking home from school, when Ollie walked up to them.
"We're on a mirmaid hunt." He said randomly.
"There's no such thing." Emma said, nervously.
"No, Allen said he saw one when he was on his boat fishing."
"Allen is insane!" Cleo said.
"Nah, he's just a crazy." Ollie said.
"So, who's on this hunt?" Emma asked.
"Me, Allen, Julio, Arron, Sam, Ron, Jon, Joey, Jesse, Bob, Brian, Nick, Erik, Bailey, Michael, Max, Danny, and Mark.
"So all the boys in homeroom." Rikki said.
"Yeah." He said. The girls exchanged nervous glances. "Where are you hunting?"
"Everywhere." He said.
"We have to go." Emma said, and pulled Rikki and Cleo away.
"This is bad." Cleo said.
"Duh." Rikki said.
"C'mon lets go to Mako." Emma said.
"OK." The girls' said. When they got to Mako, they jumped in the water. They talked and talked, and they didn't hear the boys' voices until it was almost too late. The boys' all trooped into the cave, and the girls' left with a splash. All the boys' shouted.
"I saw a gold tail!" One of them said.
"Me to! Me too!" They all yelled.
"C'mon! Follow 'em!" Ollie said. But the mermaids were too fast. They swam and swam.
