The Dying Man

One weekday morning on the North Side of Konoha, as Father Jiraiya was removing his vestments after Mass, a young woman with long orange hair appeared in the sacristy.

"Jiraiya Sensai, could you bring the last sacraments to my son," she said. "I know he will not live through the day. He lives at 1136 West Street."

"I'll go now," said the pervert priest. "Wait here while I go get the Host and the holy oil."

But when Father Jiraiya returned to the sacristy, the woman was gone.

Nonetheless, he went out into the streets and walked to the address the woman had given him. He looked up at the apartment building, entered and took the stairs. Once he reached room 1136, he rang the door bell.

A healthy-looking young man in his late twenties amswered.

"Hey! Jiraya-Sensai! What's up?" he asked.

"Hello Naruto. I've come to give the Last Rites," said the pervert.

"You've got the wrong house, Sensai," the blonde said. "No one here is sick,"

"A woman came to me half an hour ago, gave me this address and told me a young man here was dying," Father Jiraya said.

"Um, Sensai are you drunk? I'm the only one that lives here, and I'm as healthy as a horse Dattebayo!" But as the young man spoke, Jiraya looked over the mans shoulder and saw a photograph on the wall.

"That's the woman who came to see me," he said, pointing to the portrait.

The young man grew very pale. "Why don't you come inside, Sensai."

Together they walked to the photograph." I'm certain this is the woman who asked me to bring the sacraments to this house. She said her son would not live to see another day."

"Jiraya," said Naruto, trembling now, "this is my 's been dead for over 20 years."

The two men were speechless for a moment. Then the young blonde said," Father, maybe you should hear my confessions and give me Communion after all."

A few hours after Father Jiraya had given him the last sacraments, the young man was killed by a group called the Akatsuki.
