Pain

Pain was always going to be that blurred line between being a Hero and Villain.

It wasn't just their powers that connected them… blurred the line for them.

Sure their powers helped define them as being different as being special but it wasn't the only thing that blurred that line.

How they used that power… how they chose to place themselves among the rest of the normal people. Some chose to use their powers for the better… for the greater good in that great picture that had yet to be unveiled.

Some chose to use their powers for their own pleasure… against the type.

Some chose to be a hero and some chose to be a Villain.

Lines clearly drawn in the sands… the battlefield filled with lines of who was who and what they stood for.

But despite all that… despite the power… despite the choices and the outcomes there was always one thing that blurred the lines.

Blurred the battle field.

A hero fights for what is right… fights for those who can not fight for themselves.

Revenge blurred the lines but not enough to connect them.

Pain… confusing the senses… clouding the judgement…. Stopping the heart.

Pain was enough and yet never enough… it was enough to blur the lines between what is right and what is wrong. Yet it wasn't enough to stop them from being the other… wasn't enough to stop the hero from becoming the villain and the villain becoming the hero.

Pain of losing those you love… pain at hurting those you love… pain for not being stronger… pain for not being smarter… pain for not being better… pain for not being perfect… pain for not being what they wanted… pain for not being quicker… pain for not seeing.

It connected them all… it connected them because in the end pain made you feel the same.

In the end pain made them all hurt.

And a hero can't be hurt…. A villain has to die never be hurt.

Pain…. It made them less different and special… it made them just the same.

It made them hurt.

I was watching Season one and two of Hero's the other night and I just thought how much pain each (heroes and Villains) one went through to get where they are. Huh... just thought I would write this.
