"And those who were seen
dancing
were thought to be insane
by those
who could not hear
the music."

- Friedrich Nietzsche.

He followed her laughter, knowing that she was far from sober. Smiling, he could hear her calling out to him, telling him to hurry up. With a glance at the sky, and a check of his watch, he knew that dawn was upon them. The sun showing signs of rising as the sky began to turn orange, making him glad that they weren't due into work that day.

His feet hit the pavement at a steady beat, compared to her scattered steps barely twenty meters ahead of him.

"Sa-am," she stretched the syllable, stopping and turning to smile at him.
"Yes McNally?"
"Dance with me."

His eyebrows shot up, dance with her? Dancing was something that Sam Swarek did not do, along with karaoke, "I love you's", and countless other things.

"Please Sammy?" the brunette pouted when he didn't reply.
"It's six am on a Saturday."
"And?" Andy questioned, twirling in circles towards him, holding her hair to her head in a loose hold as she did.
"I think you need some sleeping.
Twirling to a stop in front of him, a large smile on her face she dropped her hold on her hair and asked him again, "Dance with me?"

Watching her carefully he knew she was far from joking, no matter how much she'd had to drink. Shaking his head with a chuckle, he smiled as she grabbed his hand and tugged on it, trying to pull him further down the street.

"Please Sammy?"

He continued to shake his head, but allowed her to pull him along. Sam's eyes followed the younger officer as she did some sort of jiggle and kept pulling him down the street. Holding their hands up, Andy twirled underneath them with a laugh as she fell, stumbling back into his chest.

"I think you're coordination is a bit off this morning," he murmured, a hand on her waist to keep her up.
"I'm not drunk," she argued, leaning back into him.
"I think you are."
Sam smirked, letting go of her waist to turn her around to face him, "I don't dance McNally."
"Come on."
"But, I'll make it up to you."

Holding her hand up to his cheek, he watched the brunette's lips curve into a smile.

"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
Stepping forward, Andy trailed a hand up his arm, "How do you plan on doing that?"
"I'm sure that we'll think of something, McNally."

For those who read Just a Chance: I'm deleting it until I get it up to date. I apologize for waiting too long to do so, but I'm currently a term behind in school work and getting a job hasn't been helping. So I promise that when it does get put back up again, not much will have changed. Hopefully.

Thank you!
