Chapter 1: Birthday Wish
POV Al
'Happy birthday Al!'
I turn to see Ed standing by the doorway of the hotel room, holding a vanilla cake with strawberry frosting. The 15 candles glowing in the darkened room.
'Thanks Ed! But…'
'But what?!' Ed asks with a confused look.
I look down to my armored feet. 'I can't eat any of this remember?'
Ed laughs. 'I know, I bought the cake to set the mood. Plus, I'm hungry.'
I laugh along with him.
'Here,' Ed says as he sets the cake on the bed. 'I'll blow out the candles as you make a wish, okay?'
'Okay,' I mumble as Ed starts singing the happy birthday song badly out of tune.
'Ready? Do you have a wish?'
I nod, thinking my wish as he blows out the candles.
Ed looking at me asks, 'So what did you wish for?'
I wave my finger in front of his face. 'Sorry, I can't tell! It wont come true if I do.'
'Aww, come on! You believe that crap?'
'Sure I do. You've always told me your wishes. Did any of them ever come true?'
'No,' he says then sighs. 'Well, come on. Let's go. I'll buy you something.'
Getting up, he gathers his things and puts them in his suitcase. Closing it, he picks it up and walks toward the door.
Ed turns around. 'You coming or do you want me to lock you in here?'
'Huh?! Um, yeah. I'm coming.'
Opening the door, we walk out of the dark room and into the bright hallway.
Author's Note: This is MY first written fan fiction. Well, my first one that I have posted. So, please cut me some slack on errors. But please tell me any suggestions that you may have. It would be very helpful. Also, I'm not sure when Al's real birthday is. So, for this story it's going to be in late November or early December. Date is to be decided in the next couple chapters.
