Halos and Horns

Danny couldn't believe he'd let himself be talked into this costume. He'd already gotten his devil's tail caught in the hinges of one door, and nearly poked his eye out with his pitchfork. 'It's all Lindsay's fault," he though petulantly, glancing up as his angel counterpart glided in the room and gave him a delighted smile.

"Danny! You look incredible," Lindsay exclaimed, while she adjusted her halo. She couldn't help but admire the way the red devil suit hugged his muscles, and she also knew there were few guys who could pull off such a look.

"I still can't believe I let you get me in this thing," Danny said, "You however seem to be having no regrets about your choice of costume." Danny couldn't help but stare at how the white angel costume with gossamer wings made Lindsay look like a goddess.

Lindsay smiled at his compliment and reached up to adjust one of his crooked horns. She was thrilled to be going to the NY State Dept. of Justice Annual Costume Ball, and even more excited that she had gotten Danny to agree to be her escort- costume included of course.

"This is going to be fun Danny, you'll see," Lindsay laughed, and couldn't resist leaning in close to give him a kiss on the cheek.

"What was that for," Danny wondered aloud, making Lindsay blush.

"I'm just happy, and consider it a thank you for going along with all this," she replied. "I've never been to this huge of a Halloween celebration and after all it's my first official celebratory Halloween in New York."

Danny pulled her closer with his pitchfork free arm and wiggled his eyebrows, "Well if you're in a generous mood with those kisses angel…" He trailed off as Lindsay laughingly pushed him away.

"You really are a little devil tonight aren't you," she teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

"You started it angel," Danny retorted, enjoying the excitement that lit up her eyes.

"Come on we shouldn't keep Mac and Stella, or should I say Dorothy and the Scarecrow waiting," Lindsay laughed. "Who knows, maybe if you're good tonight this angel might take pity on the devil and answer one of his prayers." The idea made Danny's blood-pressure rise, as his thoughts turned down very devilish and naughty path.

"Any prayer," Danny flirted, carefully gauging Lindsay's reaction. Noticing the decidedly wicked gleam in his eyes she quickly refined her statement.

"Almost any prayer," she replied, as she pushed him towards the lobby. Danny laughed aloud at her revision, and couldn't help but throw her one last comment before they joined Stella and Mac.

"You never know," he teased, "This devil just might make a fallen angel out of you yet tonight." Lindsay blushed bright red and didn't answer as they joined Stella and Mac. Danny mistakenly thought he had gotten the upper hand in their verbal sparring, but only Lindsay knew the truth- she really wouldn't mind being a fallen angel if Danny was the devil who made her fall!
