Prompt:
Dinner Dates. (From Samantha)
Drabble.

The first time, it was not a date.

It hadn't mean to be, she swears. She was supposed to be meeting him to talk about her plans to have a baby and how it affected her job. Not sit there and flirt.

The second time, it was not a date.

She'd been so sucked in by his charm and how nice he'd been that she had completely forgotten to talk to him about it. She'd told herself that she'd get straight to the point, tell him the truth. But then he'd smiled at her from across the table and told her that she looked beautiful and her stomach tied itself into knots making it hard for her to do much else but blush.

The third time, it was still not a date.

But it was the one time she'd never thought about telling him. He'd arrived at her door at exactly 7 o'clock, and from there she'd sat back and let him run the show. Holding the door, pulling her chair out for her, and ever kissing her on the cheek before heading to his car after dropping her off that night. And even though all of this happened, Noelle Williams refused to admit that it was a date.

The fourth time, however, it was a date.

He'd held her hand the entire dinner, he reminded her how beautiful she looked all night, and Noelle dropped 100% of the tough police officer exterior and let him wine and dine her.

Because that was absolutely not what he'd been doing the first three times.

So this is my first crack at writing anything other than McSwarek and McCallaghan (not that you'd know I attempted the second one. It never ever get's past the first draft before I get angry at it all and through it in the bin) and it's super short.

Thank you to Miss Samantha for the prompt, and I hope you enjoyed your drabble c:

For those who read Just a Chance: I'm deleting it until I get it up to date. I apologise for waiting too long to do so, but I'm currently a term behind in school work and getting a job hasn't been helping. So I promise that when it does get put back up again, not much will have changed. Hopefully.

Thank you!

All mistakes are mine.
