Hardcore

Written in honor of today's DVD release

Tigress had always done her best not to feel.

The ironwood trees by the Jade Palace were a perfect example, but she distanced herself from everyone, as to not create any sort of relationship. She was impassive and callous, with a barrier built around her so sturdily and immensely, that no one could ever dream of bringing it down.

And then there was the panda.

With him, she began to feel, despite her attempts to block him out as she had done all others. She was hardcore—the hardcore did not feel pain, loss, grief…or even love.

But he had managed it—somehow, this flabby panda had managed to accomplish what no one else had.

With minimal effort, he had managed to slowly tear down the barrier she had so painstakingly built, brick by brick over time. And for some odd reason, she couldn't have cared less.
