Note: I do not own Ed, Edd n Eddy. Eddy does, however, owe me a dollar.

Darkness filled Ed's vision as he fell down a hole he had no idea he fell into. He looked around and found faded images of his friends: Edd, Eddy, Jonny, even Plank. His feet suddenly touched ground. He looked down to see what he was standing on, but all there was was darkness. Then he heard the faint sound of humming coming from in front of him. He slowly made his way forward, careful not to bump into anything he couldn't see.

Ed looked to see Edd by a table covered with beakers and vials. He was standing still looking at a green liquid in a vial.

"Double-D, is that you?" Ed asked nervously, his forehead beading with sweat.

Edd didn't move an inch. Just then, before Ed's eyes, Edd had turned as translucent as water. Ed was even able to see the table through him. Then, Edd started to melt, the liquid moving towards a small drain in the floor. Ed was shaking after seeing his friend turn into water.

"Hey, you going to bet or what!?" Ed heard a familiar voice behind him. He turned around to find Eddy sitting at a table with three walnut shells and a marble on it.

"Guess where the marble is and you win." Eddy told Ed as he sat down.

When Ed paid Eddy a quarter he put the marble under one of the shells and shuffled them so fast that Ed couldn't catch up. When Eddy stopped he pointed at the one in the middle. Eddy lifted it, but there was no marble.

"Sorry, you lose." Eddy said in a way that wasn't even close to sympathetic.

"Wait, let me see the other two." Ed asked.

Eddy took both shells and to Ed's surprise the marble wasn't under any of those two. Ed looked up to see that Eddy, like Edd was, is frozen stiff. Ed slowly tapped Eddy on his shoulder. Suddenly, cracks appeared where Ed tapped and split into many other cracks, which made its way all over Eddy's entire body. Then, slowly, Eddy fell into tiny pieces turning into a pile of dust that would've just gathered up onto the dark floor Ed was standing on, but instead kept falling into eternity. Ed, tears in his eyes, ran screaming. He turned his head to see the darkness split into a fang-like mouth, which moved towards the frightened Ed. There was nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Then Ed tripped, he looked to see the mouth almost near him. Ed let out a scream of pain and fright. He then jolted up from the sheets of his bed. He looked around and gave a sigh of relief when he found himself back in his room. He looked to the side of his bed to find something to his surprise.

"Hey, I forgot to finish my buttered toast with gravy." He said, dipping the remaining slice of toast in the bowl of gravy. He swallowed it down in under a second. Then he lied back down on his bed and went back to sleep. But once he started dreaming, his face of joy contorted to a face of anguish.
