Knowledge
Sometimes the younger survivor of the Uchiha clan wonders about things other than life and fate and the blood that has been spilled over his past.
He wonders about the loud, unpredictable, trouble-making boy that is called Uzumaki Naruto.
No, he doesn't blush or stutter like a lovesick schoolgirl when talking to Naruto. He doesn't get butterflies in his stomach. His mind doesn't fill with colourful fantasies of a bright happy future with him. He doesn't change at all around him, and he most certainly does not want to ask him out on a date. But there's something there, something that Sasuke is unable to place. And that is the thing he wonders about most of the time.
He wants to ask someone about it, but there is no one to ask. The only people he knows are Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura. Kakashi is a grown-up, much older than him, and his sensei. He also has a ethically questionable character as he seems to love reading a book called "Icha Icha Paradise", and from what Sasuke knows of it, it is full of porn, and that is one thing Sasuke doesn't want to even think about, let alone read. Sasuke does not want to ask such a person about Naruto.
And, it would be stupid to ask Naruto himself about it, which leaves only Haruno Sakura, his other teammate.
Sasuke knows that Sakura sometimes thinks that he is blind, but he isn't, and he knows that Sakura has a crush on him. He is not affected by her many attempts to ask him out on a date, nor her blushes which were the same pink colour as her name, and perhaps that is why she thinks he is blind. Sasuke doesn't want to ask her, because she is a girl. No, he isn't embarrassed to ask someone of the opposite gender about this kind of thing. He just wants to stay as far away from her as possible, because he knows that dwelling on such a topic with a person who fancies him is not a very good idea, and he also knows exactly what she would do the moment he asks the question, and he doesn't want her to do anything like that.
But she is the only person he can ask out of the three.
He ponders over it.
Finally, he decides against it, because all that girl knows about are crushes. Talks of a perfect, flawless true love are lies, and that's how Sakura sees Sasuke. But Sasuke sees Naruto in a completely different way, in a way that Sakura would never understand.
He admits that he knows nothing about love, but he reckons Sakura doesn't, either.
