Battle 1:
Roxas vs Link

Roxas walked through the darkness. He wasn't going anywhere in particular. Perhaps he was searching for a new world. Maybe looking for a fight. When it came down to it, he found both. He noticed that there was a strange world: a grand castle underwater. Roxas noticed that he didn't need to use his powers to be able to breath underwater; that magic was already there.

When he entered the castle, he noticed it was in ruin. Pillars had been smashed down, altars crushed, and even a large statue had been cut apart. The statue was of a young warrior, except his sword and shield had been torn off and tossed onto the ground. Also, his body from the waist up had been horizontally sliced.

"I sense that a great evil was once here. Anyone can feel it from this air. But the darkness seems to have been destroyed."

"Hey! Who are you?!" A young boy in a green tunic walked into the ruins. He sensed the dark energies in Roxas. "Where's Zelda?!"

Roxas noticed that the boy looked exactly like the destroyed statue. He even had the same sword and shield. "Call me Roxas. But who are you?"

"My name's Link of Outset Island! I've come to rescue Zelda from a dark lord. Do you serve him too?"

"Yeah. I serve a dark lord all right. The great evil about this place…I sense it around the statue particularly. But the evil faded a while ago…perhaps when the statue was destroyed." He pulled out the Oblivion Keyblade and pointed it at Link. "And you're the same person."

"You're the evil one! I'm here to save her! And if you get in my way, I'll beat you down!" Link unsheathed the Master Sword.

Roxas brought out his second Keyblade, Oathkeeper. "Bring it on."

"Gotcha." Link quickly switched to his bow and shot a Fire Arrow! Roxas jumped out of the way and began to run on the wall sides!

"Strike Raid!" He tossed a spinning Oblivion at Link, who blocked it with his Mirror Shield! Roxas leapt from a pillar and charge at him, catching the Keyblade in midair! "Firaga!" He shot a fireball with Oathkeeper, and then used it to cover a massive slashing assault! Link backflipped away and flung his Boomerang back at Roxas! Dizzy, he was completely vulnerable to an Ice Arrow! He was completely frozen in a block of ice.

"It's not over quite yet." Roxas activated two portals of darkness, switching his and Link's positions! He then leapt over the iced Link! "Break Raid!" Like Strike Raid, he tossed Oblivion. But this time, it completely shattered the ice and struck Link! He then landed on Link, crushing him with the fall!

But then Link placed a Bomb under himself and readied his Deku Leaf. The bomb exploded! Not only did it distract Roxas, but the heat sent Link soaring above using the leaf like a hot air balloon! In midair, he used his Grappling Hook, tying him completely up! Then Link completely emptied his Bomb Bag, sending dozens of explosions on the trapped Roxas!

"This ends now! Evil's Bane!!!" Link let go of the Deku Leaf and flew down, stabbing Roxas in the head! The moment the Master Sword stuck his forehead, it glowed with an evil-banishing light. Blood trickled down Roxas's face and his eyes began to lose color.

"Ugh…you can't…beat me…I…never…lose…" As Link removed the blade of Evil's Bane from him, Roxas fell down on the ground and began to fade in an aura of darkness.

When Roxas was completely gone, Link took a moment to think about what had happened. "…Why do I get the feeling he wasn't serving Ganondorf?" He picked up his Deku Leaf and the Grappling hook, sheathed the Master Sword, and headed to Ganon's Castle.
