A/n: lol Guys. I should really stick to drawing. -3- Writing is so not my strong point. That's what I've realized over the summer. Still, that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop. XD
Anyway, USUK drabble to celebrate how school started and how I got to see my friends again! =w= Huzzah!
Disclaimer: Hidekaz Himaruya is a friggin genius, kay? I'm just a lowly sophmore who happens to fangirl over said genius'... geniusness.
And the title was brought to me through the memory of a song my mom used to sing to me as a child. I don't remember the name of the song or who its by or anything. I only know that now it makes me tear up a little. ;u;
Alfred was like sunshine. Wherever he went he attracted attention. People always wanted to see him and when Alfred smiled, you could almost, or actually, feel the warmth radiating from him no matter how far away he was. The more people Alfred met, more people wanted to be with him. Wanted some of that sunshine.
Arthur was like a cloudy and rainy day. He was stuffy, like the inside of your house on one of those days. He was the thing keeping you inside and blocking out the sun's rays and heat when you wanted to go out and play. People didn't like him much. Especially people who knew him well. They referred to him as Mr. Rain Cloud, even in public.
Except for Mr. Sunshine himself.
He spent all of his time trying make Mr. Rain Cloud's life a lot more sunny. Unfortunately, he did a terrible job at it. If you asked anyone, they would say it looked like Alfred just made Arthur's life much more of a living hell, with his constant jokes and making fools out of both of them. But at least the shining young man was trying. They wouldn't waste their souls, let alone their time, on something they were sure was impossible.
But all Arthur could think as he sat there and read his musty little book in the cafe, drinking his tea was how Alfred was the only real sunshine in his gloomy life and that he never wanted that sunshine to fade away.
A/n: How sappy and cute! But it still didn't really come out how I wanted it. Sadface.
