"You're all idiots, and we're all going to die if I can't fix this in the next 10 minutes, and did I mention that you are all idiots?" The extremely alarming klaxon masked some of Rodney's vitriol, but not quite enough that the people he was yelling at didn't wince.
There was an explosion, and all the people Rodney was yelling at ran for cover.
"Rodney?" Elizabeth asked. "You do have a suggestion, right?"
"Yes, yes, of course. We just need to rebuild the entire control substructure, replace all the conduits, and then rewrite the laws of thermodynamics. In the next 10 minutes. No problem."
"We're counting on you, Rodney," Elizabeth said.
There was another, larger, explosion.
"Perhaps?" said Radek, and pushed the power button.
Everything went dark and silent.
Radek pushed the power button again.
Almost immediately, something started beeping cheerfully, everything stopped shaking and exploding, and all the fires went out, too.
"You, you," Rodney spluttered. "You!"
"Yes, me," said Radek. "It was not so complicated."
"I hate you."
