The Day the Stars Fell
An Original Fanfic
Chapter 1
It was the day the comet would hit its maximum brightness, the day of the festival. Mitsuha did her best. She tried to persuade everyone yet, she just sounded like a maniac to others. Her 2 best friends were her only believers. 10 minutes before the incident, everyone saw the comet split. A part was going straight while the other was going down. It could be seen everywhere around Japan and everyone was in awe, not realizing what would happen next. Taki was in his balcony watching with curiosity. He was really into this stuff. The thought so drill was still happening in Itomori.
5 minutes to the disaster and Mitsuha reached her father. She tried really hard to persuade him and it was no use. 30 seconds to the impending disaster, Mitsuha was crying outside the hall while trying to remember his name. 10 seconds and nearly 2/3 of the town's population was out of the blast zone. Then the comet hit directly into the shrine making at first a small molten hot area, which melted the shrine and everything around it. Then suddenly, everyone was shocked as the meteor shot a huge mushroom cloud into the air making the shockwave spanning around 70 miles in all directions. The town hall got carried away as well as houses, shops, and people in the blast zone.
Mitsuha felt herself in the air as if she was floating. She then got hit in her head as soon as the building crashed to a nearby hill. The comet created a tidal wave, which drenched nearly the whole city. The only part unaffected were the high areas in the city. Every one was injured, mostly minor injuries. Mitsuha and her family were all unconscious. Early morning, everyone in Japan was shocked as the news said:
The comet has hit the city of Itomori.
157 people are dead or missing.
It has destroyed the whole town making a new crater and a lake expansion.
Here is a list of missing or dead people in the city:
*Yukino, Yukari-Dead
*Miyamizu, Hitoha-Missing
And the list goes on.
Then all the missing were found alive lowering the casualties to 146 people.
Suddenly, Itomori faces a new challenge, a new place to stay. This, made people go to different places. The Miyamizu family where all sent to Tokyo to regain consciousness.
2 wekks later,
"Doctor! Ms. Mitsuha Miyamizu has woken up!"
"Good, make sure she gets enough rest."
Yes sir."
