-One Christmas to Remember-
Ron/Hermione
Ron watched as Hermione sat reading her book under the Christmas tree in the Burrow. He loved to watch her reading. She always looked so cute when that little wrinkle in her forehead would show up. He could almost see her brain remembering every word she read for possible future use.
He walked over and sat in the chair behind where Hermione sat. After he sat down, she adjusted so she had her back against the front of Ron's legs. Hermione looked up at him and gave him an upside-down grin and returned to her book.
'What if she says no?' Ron thought to himself. He was thinking about the little box that was hidden among the many many gifts under the large fir. 'It would be a Christmas miracle if she said yes actually. Why am I doing this? Is it too early? Will she hate me for this?' a million doubts ran through his head until his thoughts were interrupted by Mrs. Weasley calling for dinner.
Ron sat in the CRAMPED Burrow kitchen and ate his Christmas dinner, talking to George about the new Weasley Wizard Wheezes product he had come up with. And with Harry about the latest newest the Ministry. Ron had fun talking with his brothers and sister.
After dinner was done, Teddy came running over to Harry asking if it was tie for presents yet. Harry looked around asking everyone if they were ready. Everyone walked back into the Sitting Room to open presents.
Ron felt his stomach flip as Harry and teddy passed out the gifts and he knew his was getting closer and closer to the top with every gift. Hermione was sitting on the couch while he sat by her legs, she bent down and whispered in his ear, "What's wrong? Why are you so tense?"
He turned his face towards hers and kissed her, "You'll see," he whispered back.
Like Harry had been told by Ron, he left the last gift under the tree until Ron was ready.
Almost all of the gifts were open and Teddy and Victoire were playing with their new toys and everyone was wearing their Weasley sweaters (even Harry, Teddy, and Hermione). Ron decided that this was the perfect time to do it; now or never.
He reached under the tree and pulled the last package from underneath. Ron turned to Hermione, propped up one of his knees.
Hermione turned her head towards Ron when she felt his adjustment and gasped.
"Hermione Jean Granger, I've loved you longer then I ever realized it. I can't be happier when I'm with you. Would you please make me the happiest and luckiest man on earth and marry me?" Ron said and opened the small box. Sitting in the box was a delicate diamond ring.
Molly started to cry harder the Hermione (that's saying something). All Hermione could do was nod and Ron's heart did a back flip and he kissed his new Fiancée and hugged her. He slipped the ring on her finger and was surrounded by his brothers, all patting him on the back and saying things like 'congrats!' and 'way to go Ron!' Bill came up and messed up his hair saying with a laugh, "Congrats Ron, you take the price for best Weasley proposal ever." Ron laughed and turned to Hermione who was surrounded by Ginny, Molly, Fleur ad all the other (now) Weasley women. Hermione looked at him and hugged him (more like attacked his neck) and whispered in his ear the one thing he wanted to hear from her lips: "I Love You, Ronald Weasley."
Ron smiled and said, "Merry Christmas 'Mione. I love you so much." And he kissed her, even with his mother, father, brothers, best friend, sister, and sister-in-laws watching him. It didn't matter, he was marrying the woman of his dreams, and he was the favorite for just a little while.
What a great Christmas.
