Disclaimer: I don't own this song nor do I own Harry Potter.

A/n: I heard this song on a country music station. I'm not sure of the singer but when I heard I immediately thought of this.

"Just what do you say

At a moment like this

When you can't find the words

To tell it like it is

Just close your eyes

And let your heart lead the way

Oh what do you say?"

Hermione sat on the common room couch, rereading her book. The library had been closed because Peeves had set loose a bunch of pixies and the girls' dorm room was being occupied by the fan club for the newest wizard pop group: N'Chanted.

Ron sat on one of the larger chairs, diagonal from her, with his feet stretched out. He was 'trying' to study, but now a hangnail had caught his attention and he commenced to flick it from one side to the other.

Harry sat on a seat next to him, opposite Hermione. In his hands were the tactics for the next quidditch game, although he wasn't looking at them. Instead, he was staring straight at Hermione, his face emotionless but his eyes soft. She didn't notice, though, with her mind too focused on her literature.

Harry continued to stare until the words he was thinking deep within his mind formed in his mouth.

"I love you," he whispered in a barley audible sound.

Although Hermione did not hear his confession, Ron's idle behavior led the words to his ears. He looked up with a look of shock and worry, grateful to see Harry staring at Hermione-not him.

"I've always loved you," he whispered again, still keeping his eyes locked on Hermione's, which were moving from word to word.

He sighed loudly, but she did not look up.

For the first time he dropped his gaze to the floor. "I love you, Hermione," he muttered.

Her eyes stopped moving across the page, although Harry did not notice. Did he really say what she thought he said? Or had it been one daydream that just overpowered its bindings of reality? She shrugged it off. It had to be a daydream...But then she heard it again.

"I really do love you"

She hesitantly looked up to see Harry's eyes gazing into hers. She could feel her mouth opening to speak, but no sound came out.

"You're everything to me," Harry whispered, but still audible to her ears.

Hermione didn't know what to say. She closed her eyes and thought for a second while taking a deep breath. When she opened them a simple whisper followed. "I love you too"

They both smiled a sort of blissful smile at each other. Harry slowly got up and took a seat next to Hermione and welcomed her with gentle kiss.

Meanwhile, Ron continued to flick the hangnail from side to side, amazed at how long it could cling on to the finger.

THE END...

Hope that was good. Please review. And to all those concerned about my other story with the poetry stuffs- I promise it will be up soon- just a bit of writers block.
