The pitter-patter of the rain's tiny fingers against the windows competed with the merry crackle of the fire in the common room. Two students lay there, in each others arms, gazing contentedly at the fire. She, with her head pressed against his shoulder, her hands in her lap, him, with a hand around her waist and the other stroking her beautiful gingery hair. On both, there was a smile.

Slowly the other Gryffindor students headed to bed, but the two were content to stay in each others embrace. She shifted slightly to lay with her head in his lap. Her smile widened as she glanced at his face. Surely this was love, she thought. Despite the fact her parents said that it was foolish, it was 'puppy love', and that no one marries their school sweetheart, she knew deep down, this man was the man she was going to marry.

He on the other hand simply looked at her and tugged lightly on her hands, trying to pull her up. She tilted her head at the gesture, but complied. When she was sitting up, she absently pulled her hair back to fasten it in a pony tail holder. He got up slowly, and walked to the window. She followed, trailing slightly behind him.

He looked out at the rain, a fine drizzle, and turned to her, question on his face. She nodded, and he pulled out his wand, "Accio cloak" he whispered, and then added, "So you won't get cold."

The cloak zoomed toward them, and once they had it, they set out in tip-toe. The Fat Lady looked at them annoyed when they exited, "I was trying to sleep, you know,"

She giggled and once out of earshot whispered, "The old grump." He laughed at her remark, and soon, the two were at one of the courtyard doors. He pushed it open slowly and reveled in the warm summer breeze.

They scurried toward the lake, propelled by the thought of doing the forbidden. The lake was still, but for the ripples caused by the gentle rain. He placed the cloak at the edge of the lake and grasped her hand tightly. "Just the shallows, love."

She nodded, and rolled her eyes. It wasn't as if she was going to swim in to where there were creatures. On the whispered count of three, the pulled off their shoes and walked into the lake. She gasped at the icy chill of the water, but continued on despite. When she was up to her chest in water, they stopped. Their clothes, soaked through, stuck to their bodies as they embraced. Her lips found their way to his, and they shared a passionate kiss.

When she pulled away an ecstatic smile lit up his face, and she blushed furiously. He sighed, reliving the moment. It was their first kiss, and not just that, it was the first time either of them had kissed someone of the opposite gender. It was so right. He knew right then, that those lips would be his until his dying day. He swam toward her, wrapping his arms around her thin frame. "Mollywobbles? I think I finally learned what eckelitricity is. It's what's—"

"Hey! What are you two young'uns doing out here!" The gruff bark of the caretaker interrupted the tender moments.

Molly flinched and she and Arthur slowly advanced. "Gryffindor, eh? Well, that'll be a weeks worth of detentions for the both of yous, for each rule broken. Out of bed, that's one, in the yards after curfew, that's two, and swimming in the lake, that's three. Now get back to yer dormitories before I decide to send you to the headmaster."

Arthur sighted, grabbing his cloak and wrapping it around Molly's shaking figure. He placed his arm protectively around her waist and started to escort her to the common room. "Hey you two, it's six inches apart, you know!" The caretaker grumbled, before shuffling away.

"Eckelitricity is like love, but better," Arthur whispered in Molly's ear, to finish what he had been telling her.
