AN: Yep. I've been "bit" by the Shuuneki craze as well ... on today's menu, Shuuneki fluff *drools, fangirls* ... that being said, enjoy :)

Sweet As Sugar

"Shuu!" Kaneki called as he opened the door to their home and hang up his coat. "I'm back!"

Silence greeted him. Annoyed, the half-ghoul took off his shoes like it was the custom and slowly began his way upstairs to their daughter's room. Her mere existence was their miracle and she was their angel, sweet as sugar as she made everyone around her laugh at her cuteness. Naturally, she was also very smart (as proven by the fact that he had caught his husband trying to teach her some French a few weeks ago and she had gotten some of them correctly) and beautiful (his husband would claim that it must have come from him, as she looked exactly like him minus the eyes, which were the color of his husband's). Chuckling to himself, Kaneki wondered what mess he would Shuu and their little darling in today. Their angel might have been just two years old, but she already was a troublemaker (not surprising with who her fathers are) and he knew that Shuu wasn't helping that matter at all. Sadly, Kaneki could never get angry or stay mad at them. Put together, they were simply adorable (even more so when they pouted).

Reaching the bedroom he was looking for, Kaneki knocked once. Receiving no answer again, he pushed the door open, only to be met by an gorgeous sight.

His husband, the big bad and tough Shuu, was cuddling their little daughter as they slept on the carpet floor, small smiles on their faces. Feeling a smile form itself on his face too, Kaneki slowly and silently closed the door and lied down on his daughter's other side, weeving his fingers into Shuu's as he closed his eyes, feeling a light squeeze back as he did.

"Welcome home, love." he heard his husband whisper, causing him to chuckle lowly.

"I'm home."

And with those words, the little family of three slept the day away.

AN: First Shuuneki drabble! Hopefully, I didn't do too bad... as for the girl's name? I left that up to your imagination. R&R if you want! :)
