Three cats gathered around a small pool of water, a small water fall keeping it full. One of them, a small dark gray she-cat, looked at a bigger white and gray she-cat.
"Did you have to choose such a place to speak? I can barely hear myself over this waterfall!" the smaller yowled in annoyance.
Another tom let out a mrrow of laughter. "Maybe it's because you have such small ears, apprentice."
The small cat let a caterwaul before jumping at the tom. He ducked so she flew over his head. She growled once she slid down the wet rock.
"You should have clawed into the rock. But good job anyway, Shadestrike." The tom retorted.
"Look whose speaking mister 'I-fell-off-a-tall-tree' Ripplefrost."
"Enough." The gray-and-white she-cat told them. "There shall be no fighting in my side of Starclan."
Shadestrike titled her head, "Sorry, Silverflake, but just happen to choose two of the cats with the best relationship you could ever hope to have."
Silverflake narrowed her eyes, "Sarcasm noted." She looked at the two, then at the pool of water. "This is the Moonpool, right? I come here every day, to see if the higher Starclan cats have any messages for us."
"So? Did they?" Ripplefrost asked her, looking at the pool.
"Yes. A prophecy. Running water and falling stars, the Warrior Code is broken."
Shadestrike went silent, "Broken? How?"
"Rippling waves upon a shining sky will meet, and they will fall."
Ripplefrost stared at her, "M… me?!"
Silverflake shook her head, "I'm sure many cats in Starclan have Ripple, Shine, Fall and Wave as a name."
Ripplefrost's eyes were wide. Shadestrike shook her head.
"A Ripple, a Wave, a Sky, a Shine and a Fall?" she murmured, "There are cats with those names?"
Silverflake shrugged, "Who's to say it's about cats? Who's to say it's that many?"
Ripplefrost nodded, closing his eyes, "R-right…" he stood, "Well, this was a good meeting… um… Silverflake you want to tell the leaders that?"
"Which do you think?"
"All of them! Miststar, Heartstar, Daisystar, Shakestar! Who knows anything! They could all be apart! We might be involved!"
Shadestrike stared at him, Silverflake softly nudged her as Ripplefrost ranted on. Shadestrike blinked at her.
"He's having an existential crisis. Don't mind him."
