Simba smiled as Kiara sat talking to her friends. They got along with them all so well. Now the real question was where is Kion. Hmm.. the sun was almost setting as the king made his way to the edge of Pride Rock. "Simba don't worry." he turned to Nala his wife walking over and sitting next to him. "I'm sure he's had a busy day. He'll be here in the morning."

She yawned which turned into a roar. "Come sweetie. He'll be back" I knew she was right, however this is the first time he's never slept in the cage. Besides.. he's only cub.

All he could do was wait till morning.

"Honey.." Simba nudged Nala. "Yes.."

"He's not back yet." as soon as he said Ono came flying in. "Your majesty I was wondering if Kion.. he then stopped and looked around. "Where is he?" the panic button the went of in the king heads. "He wasn't with you..?"

the worried father asked Ono shook his head. "We had no trouble yesterday, so we took the day off" that wasn't what the King wanted to hear. Out all night he thought.

"Dad where are you going?" Kiara asked him. "To find your brother.."

He couldn't gotten lost, maybe hurt his paw or worse..

No snap out of it Simba! he told himself. He ran for miles through the Pride Lands but nothing.. "The outlands" he muttered to himself. He stood on the edge, he noticed a set paw prints by the edge of the cliff.

He knows them anywhere. He judged on how it happened. It looked like dragged.. could he had been lion napped? or maybe worse..

Killed by Hyena's.. The worse case situation. "Ok maybe he just fell" he added outland. Being a king he shouldn't be scared. However, ever since he was cub he hasn't liked the outlands.

It was like an old dry river walking through this. He had to keep an eye out at every corner as an Hyena could pounce from no where.

"Dad.." he heard a whisper. Running to the sound he saw what he dreaded. His son surrounded by Hyena's. He seemed stuck and something tied around mouth so he could barely talk. It was stop him doing that roar. He knew right away.

Seeing his son hurt was something he couldn't stand .. he got closer and closer and was careful not to get caught by them.

Kion just sat there in the small cage that he was in watching the scene. He was hungry and cold.. he wanted his dad and mum. He whined out loud. From behind a rock Simba could hear his son's distress. "SHUT IT FURBALL" one of them shouted and hit the cage which scared his son even more.

He couldn't take it anymore so he decided to jump on a rock..

"Now I suggest.. SIMBA" was the cry from, The young cub smiled at the sight of his father. Or at least tried to.

His dad jumped of the rocks and the hyena's attacked. It was hitting stones for Simba. They were weak. He then pounced on the leader.

"Don't you dare go near my son.." He gritted his teeth. He remembered when he was cub and his father did the same thing. However this time it wasn't Kion's fault. "You take him one more time.. " the mutt soon started to nod and ran away.

Once they were away walked over to the cage of wood holding Kion. He clawed his way through and using his mouth to throw the wood aside. His son soon ran up to him, he nuzzled up against his father. Purring..

With a single claw he removed the vines stopping his son from talking. "Dad.." was the first word. He was crying. "Come on son let's get you home.."

Home.. it was the only word Kion wanted to hear.
