Let me find the story here.Ah, "There once was a man named Dan. He lived in a garbage can." No wait, wrong story.

Ah, this is the one.
In the middle of the night, a half-elf named David came across the town of Stronwind, which was a town in the center of Kali, the planet of magic. He stumbled in restlessly, and was in need of service, both personal and arsenal. And he was most worried of his health, so into the Inn he went.
He walked in slowly, and everybody turned and looked at him for a moment, grunted, and then went back to their business. For one, nobody in the town liked travelers, and for another, nobody was really fond of half- elves. He brushed off the bad hospitality and went to the front counter.
The man at the counter smirked at David's presence, and asked him what he wanted (very bluntly, may I add). David said, "I request a sleeping quarters so as to restore some of my health." The Inn owner nodded and showed him to his room, requested that David bring him 10gp in the morning, and then left.
Next morn, David woke and looked around him. He was surprised to find that he had not been robbed, and that he had not awoken in a different place. He smiled and sighed a sigh of relief, got up, and went downstairs. He paid his due, and left.
He then traveled over to the Weaponry Shop. He came up to the front of the store, and got the same greeting he did at the Inn. He noticed this, ignored it, and asked for a double-bladed orc battle-axe, a greatsword, a quart of poison, and some studded leather with boots. The owner nodded to this, told David to come back tomorrow, and David left.
He went to the local tavern to see of the news of the town, where he met his old friend Xzan. Xzan noticed him, waved him over, and David went to him. David said, "Hi Xzan, how are you?"
Xzan had a serious look on his face, and David looked puzzled with this expression. Xzan said, "I have a grave matter on my hands." He then paused for a moment, then continued. "The reason I have no kin is because they were all eaten by a black dragon whose name is Catryn. This dragon is among the most of evil dragons there is."
David looked surprised. "Xzan are you serious? If this is true than I must journey with you to destroy this vile creature!"
Xzan nodded. "If you wish to join me my friend, I would be glad for some help. I have ordered armor and weapons for myself, and they will be done tomorrow."
"It is the same with me", said David.
"Good, then it is settled", replied Xzan. "Meet me here tomorrow at 9 o'clock in the morn. I will be happy to see you here."
