The smell of bacon and eggs woke him up. He poked his head out from under the covers and sniffed deeply. Silently he crawled out of the bed and padded softly into the kitchen. By the stove a man was standing. He sat down and a plate was placed in front of him. With a smile he started eating. "I could get used to this; you're the best cook I've ever met". And again he smiled.
Horatio laughed and said to his lover. "I wonder what they are thinking when they bark and wag their tails." Speed just smiled and looked at the puppy. It really was adorable.
