Dantalion had stayed in the human world to raise his eldest into a fine king who took over for Solomon, and his two daughters into lovely maidens. Despite having had seven hundred wives and three hundred lovers, all of which were human, Solomon had wanted the Grand Duke of Hell to stay and rule as the one and only "Queen" of Israel; at least until their heir, Rehoboam, was ready to claim the throne.
Thousands of years had passed since the death of his mortal children, and Dantalion still cried himself to sleep every night. The scars of his past would continue to haunt him for eternity; he would be burdened by the guilt of letting his three darling children die, waiting for their father to come home, until the end of his days. Yet, on one faithful day, a ray of light shone done from the Heavens. Salvation had finally presented itself to him.
Meeting William Twining was Dantalion's long-awaited chance of attaining redemption. Not long after the two had been acquainted with each other, the Grand Duke realized that the Elector held the soul of Solomon within him. Looking back, Dantalion had always reassured his children that Solomon would surely return to them. He was right all along.
