I closed the door behind me when I got to my room feeling all happy. I couldn't believe this could happen. It happened a few days ago when my step-sister called my cellphone. I thought the call was from Jessica or Madison but when I checked to see who it was, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The screen spelled out Amy (Step-sister). I answered the call.

"What do you want?" I said through the phone expecting her to tell me to do something.

"L..L..Lucy, help me..." She said.

Something was wrong, but I couldn't find out what was wrong.

" What are you talking about?" I said starting to get worried.

" Lucy please help me..." she said. I could hear her crying.

I was starting to worry.

" Where are you? I'll come pick you up" I said.

When she told me the where she was, I headed out and called a taxi to go there. She was at her friend's house and there was a lot of people there. It seemed like there's a party. When I went in, I asked a person inside the house where Amy was. He told me she was inside and so I went in to get her. I saw her sitting down on the couch while crying. I walked to her and told her to let's go home. When we got out of the house, she hugged me and said thank you. I was surprised. She never said thank you to me and she never even touched me. I gave her hug too and headed home. When we got back home, I went straight to my room and was all happy. While day dreaming about how our relationship have changed from being strangers to family. It was time for dinner. I went down and saw Mara not talking and Amy looking down. From this view, I could tell that Mara found out she went to the party when she wasn't allowed to and that Amy cried.

"Lucy, I heard that you knew Amy went to the party and didn't start her." She said while eating.

I was confused. I looked over at Amy and guessed that she told Mara that I knew about her going to the party. Wow... I shouldn't have believed she was nice. I thought we would actually be like sisters now but I was wrong to believe that.

I didn't say anything.

Mara kept talking about how I should have stopped her. At the same time, she was yelling at me until Amy said something.

"Mom! It's not her fault, I lied. Lucy brought me back home when I called her. It was all my fault." Said Amy tears in her eyes.

Mara was speechless and left the dinning room. I guess my relationship with Amy did change. Maybe I wasn't wrong to believe what I thought. From this day on, I officially have sister.
