Chapter 1
One afternoon Sarah meets Adam in a coffee shop in Berkeley and walks in and sees him sitting at a booth by the window.
"hey." she says to him when she sees him
"hey." he says
Sarah sits down "so what's up?" she wonders with a smile
"nothing." he tells her
"everything okay?" she wonders
"everything's fine." he tells her
"Adam?" she questions
Adam just looks at her like there's something on his mind.
"what?" he pops back into reality
"what's up?" she wonders again
"Adam!" she starts to get mad
"okay, fine here it is I have a kid." he tells her
Sarah shakes her head "what, I'm sorry what did you say?" she wonders again
"I have a kid." he tells her
"you have 2 kids Haddie and Max." she tells him
"no, I mean I have a kid another kid she's...she's 13." he tells her
"What?" Sarah gets mad
"does Kristina know about this?" Sarah wonders not believing it
"no...No!" he tells her
"Adam you have to tell her!" she tells him
"so you said you have a 13 year old?"
"yeah." he nods
"so you slept with another woman when?" she wonders
"when Haddie was 3 we had a fight and I just got fed up and I just left." he tells her
"and you slept with another woman?" she wonders angrily
"well we were still friends." he tells her
"so who is she?" she wonders
"the girl I took to prom." he tells her
"What?" Sarah questions again madly
