Vanilla Twilight

The stars shone brightly the whole afternoon as she walked through the park. They glistened and sparked like jems and stunted but faint Shooting stars sped fast as nightfall came. She lay beneath the soft grass; watching from above and wrapping herself within the cosmos. Had she not have work tomorrow, she'd probably wander in dream underneath the skies, forever lost in Black holes and constellations of worlds. Within those worlds she'd find him.
Him waiting for her.
To grasp her hand and whisper sweetly in her ear."The dawn is coming fast. You can't stay here much longer." She'll only laugh and kiss his lips softly. Entangling her in meshes of brown striped fur and pointed ears. Moaning whenever she felt his sickly sweet touch.
"The Twilight's here.
Wake up dear
The Twilight's almost here."
They'd cuddle underneath patterns of cosmos and asteroid belts. Between planets and moons, suns and crossing the Milky Way in deep serenity. He's humming in her ear a song. But the dawn cones so fast, she can't hear. But she's stuck with it within the crevice of her head. The solo words before their parting.
The stars lean down to kiss you
And I lie awake and miss you
Pour me a Heavy dose of atmosphere
'Cause I'll doze off safe and soundly
but I'll miss your arms around me
I'd send a postcard to you, dear
'Cause I wish you were here
Cause in this Vanilla Twilight
I'll sit on the front porch all night
Waiting for you to come back down again
When the dawn arrives…
