Travis tried his best to close the door quiet. It was almost midnight and he didn't thought that Brad or David were still up. Anyway he didn't want to risk it. If they would find him in Nick's room, in the middle of the night, he would need many explanations. He looked around and saw Nicks body lying in the bed. He laid on his stomach and didn't move, not even when Travis closed the noisy door. The moon gave the only light and it was cold. Nick always sleeps with one open window. Travis was chilling he wore nothing but thin pants and his T-shirt. Carefully he started moving to the bed and tried not to step on empty water bottles and game- discs. He had to smile. Nick and his messy room... Beside the bed it was even colder. Swiftly he pulled up the blanket and slide into the small bed. Travis closed his eyes when he felt how his body got warmed up by this unbelievable warmth under the blanket, Nick's warmth. The cover glided a bit down and Travis noticed, Nick was not even wearing a T-shirt. He always wondered how Nick was able to suffer cold temperatures like this. But he just laid there, pressed his face into his pillow and didn't move. His back raised and dropped smooth. Maybe he fell asleep? They didn't touch each other but anyway Travis could feel the heat of his skin. He didn't want to wait longer. Slowly he put his hand on Nick's free back and started running it over the warm skin. He had to smile again. Directly after his touch a goose flesh covered the back. If Nick wanted to act like sleeping he failed now. "Hey" he said gentle. One moment of silence followed. "Hey" answered Nick, mumbling in his pillow. Finally he turned his head and looked at Travis. Oh how Travis loved this adorable expression on his face, this mix of unsureness and delight at once. But today there laid something else in his face, sadness? "You are leaving tomorrow?" Nick asked with a quiet voice. An unnecessary question because he just knew the answer for it. Travis spent 4 weeks in the U.S. now but Europe was waiting and he will leave the next morning. Instead of answering Travis stopped looking at him and watched the poster on the wall behind the bed. He started thinking that Nick became mad or sad or something. Suddenly Nick started moving and came closer to Travis's body. Trustful he lent his forehead against Travis's and closed his eyes again. Nowhere on the earth Travis felt safer and more secure than in this position. He just knew everything here, the smell of Nick's skin, the heat of his breath and the beating of his heart under his chest. "This will be the last night?" Nick whispered. Travis opened his eyes and suddenly saw all the sadness in the eyes of Nick. Carefully he moved his head toward and kissed Nick's lips tenderly. "Yes" he answered into the warm lips "Our last night."
